Local dog boarding and grooming offered within our home in Mendon, MI! I am also on Rover. If you desire only a wash and dry, the prices will be $15 cheaper.

Prices are subject to change based on unique cases - please always feel free to reach out for quotes! Generally, my pricing is as follows for deluxe baths:

Extra small dog: $25

Small dog: $35

Medium dog: $45

Large dog: $65

Extra large dog (over 100 pounds): $85

For an additional $5, I can add in a leave in conditioner to your dog's coat. Deluxe baths include a thorough wash and dry, nail trimming, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and paw balm massage. I do offer trimming services on a case by case basis. I am not the most skilled - especially with specific cuts but I can offer to shave or do light trimming.

Meet Sawyer ♥️ Sawyer is a ten year old chocolate lab who is looking for a new home. I am assisting his owners with this. He’s been staying with me all week and I can confirm: he is the sweetest boy who cannot possibly receive enough lovings or attention ♥️ He’ll be your shadow and a good emotional support dog. He received a thorough bath and deshedding treatment this week and feels silky smooth. He would thrive in a home with children who would love on him and his owners also believe he would thrive best in a home where he is the only dog. That is not because he is not friendly- he’s gotten along perfectly with every dog in my home this week (and I had a lot here this week) without issue, but he will whine when I’m petting anyone else 😇

He’s in great health and gets along with other farm animals- doesn’t chase cats or chickens at all.

He’s the definition of loyal. He’s a big baby- he would let me blow dry him as long as he could hide his head in my lap ♥️ He listens exceptionally well; he’s very well behaved. His owners awknowledge he really is the perfect boy, but with their own children grown, and them working so much, they feel he is no longer in a home where he receives the attention he so desires. They didn’t make this decision lightly and after spending the week with him, I can confirm that I think this is a good decision for him- he truly does have anxiety not receiving attention. It’s not overwhelming anxiety- but I do agree with them that he would thrive being back in a home full of children or a family that can dedicate more time and attention to him. ♥️

I would 100% take him if I could. But, with three big dogs already, we’re at capacity 💔

Local business shout out- Clean by Chloe!

With a busy business, three dogs of my own, and four children- my house gets dirty quickly. I feel like I clean constantly but the deep cleaning I rarely have time for. Chloe’s rates were too good to pass up and this is the second time she’s come to get my house back to spotless. Every surface is gleaming and sticky free, all dog hair gone, and my husband said it smells amazing in here. I had to pass along her information- give her a call and you will be immensely glad you did!

PSA: regarding matted dogs

I want you all to know I sincerely love and care for any dogs brought to me for grooming. I went back and forth about this post quite a bit because I do not want anyone feeling as if I am upset or judging in the least. I blink and 8 weeks has flown by so believe me, it happens to me too, all the time. This applies to all dogs needing regular grooming but especially doodles. If they miss an appointment and/or go too far beyond the recommended 8 weeks between grooms, their hair is so prone to matting. Again, there is zero judgement and I really understand completely. I’m making this post to simply explain why there will need to be a price adjustment if they are matted. If a dog comes in matted, it easily adds an hour of time if not more. Additionally, when clippers are working through mats, they dull faster and it costs to get them professionally sharpened. Due to that reason alone, I will have to add an additional $25 charge to the groom.

An especial, and sincere thank you for all clients who have been so understanding when their dog needed shaved. I have clients all the time drop their dog off and say “I know they probably have to go short, do whatever you need.” And I cannot express how much I appreciate that. Talk to any dog groomer, and you’ll hear how often and common it is for people to be upset about their dogs being taken short but sometimes, it really is not feasible to keep the hair long once it gets to a certain point of matting. Groomers always do our best but clippers, even high end professional ones, can only cut through so much. I can comb through some minor matting but it can be painful for your pet and most dogs are not tolerant of it and become aggressive.

So again, thank you to all for being so kind and understanding.

One additional note: A couple of times this happened recently was when I was off work for four weeks and couldn’t get some doodles in on time. In rare instances like that, obviously there is no extra charge as there was nothing the owner could have done different and I cover the additional costs since the fault was on me for being unable to groom them on time.
