Allie Cats pop-up at the CY Farmers Market Saturday!! (Dec 12 from 9-1pm) We'll have glass holiday ornaments, jewelry, artwork & other handmade gifts by some of our local artists! Plus, check out the wonderful selection of fresh produce, natural meats, breads, handmade soaps, art & all kinds of unique products... Everything at the market is locally grown/created in the midsouth!

Great news!! Allie Cat Arts will be at the Cooper-Young Community Farmers Market tomorrow (Saturday) from 9am-1pm!! We'll have glasswork, artisan jewelry, original art, record album purses, and lots of other handmade gifts by some of our amazing Memphis artists. Stop by and see us!! Also, be sure to check out the wonderful selection of fresh produce, herbs, natural meats, homemade breads & jams, and so much more... plus the many other artisans featuring all kinds of cool, unique handmade products. Everything at the market is locally grown/created in the midsouth!! It's going to be so awesome!!

The market is located in the First Congo parking lot on Cooper, right across from Stone Soup and just down the street from our previous storefront (how cool is that?!) FYI, the St Jude Marathon is Saturday, so be sure to enter the market from the southeastern side because cooper will be blocked off (see the map posted here). Hope to see you there!

We are very sad to announce that Allie Cat Arts will be closing this month. This has been an extremely difficult decision, but unfortunately our time at 961 S. Cooper has come to an end.

We want to thank all of our wonderful artists, patrons, supporters and friends for all of your love and support these past three years. We are so proud to have featured some of the most talented artists in the midsouth, and with your support have helped many of them grow and continue their work. It has truly been the most incredible experience, and has meant more than you know to all of us here at Allie Cat Arts. Although we’re closing now, we wouldn’t have made it this far without you. Thank you again for everything, and for joining us in this amazing journey.

We do not know what the future holds for us, but there are certainly many possibilities worth exploring. For now, we will continue working with artists and patrons as opportunities arise and will let you know about any future developments.

We will be open for the Cooper Young Festival on September 19 and our last official business day will be Sunday, September 20. The following week we’ll begin clearing out the space but will still be available for private appointments. We hope that you can visit us again before we close, and perhaps find something that you love to take home. Feel free to contact us anytime at 901-830-8047 to make an appointment or to inquire about a particular work of art. Thank you again for supporting our local artists!

Another one of my favorites by Barry Joyce! Barry's work is full of pattern and intricate details, and is often influenced by history and personal experiences. This particular piece was inspired by a ghost story about a old plantation house near his mothers home. Come by and see more of his work!
