April's Hedgie Herd I am a small hobby breeder of African Pygmy Hedgehogs. We are located in Memphis, TN. Our babies are usually $200 each. Windsor, Ontario
Langley, British Columbia

Every hedgie in the herd is registered with the International Hedgehog Association and Registry. Our babies are handled from a young age to ensure the best temperament possible, we don't wear gloves so they get to know our scents. I am a small hobby breeder so I do not always have hoglets available but I am more than happy to email you when we're expecting. I can not sell to you if you are in an area where hedgehogs are illegal. Where Hedgehogs are Illegal:

Yep! Baby hedgehogs aka hoglets are born with their first tiny quills tucked beneath swollen skin. Soon after birth, those little quills begin making their grand entrance. ✨

🦔 Quills ≠ porcupine spines! Hedgehog quills don’t have barbs and they cannot shoot them. They’re modified hairs made of keratin, the same protein found in our hair and nails.

🤎 A relaxed hedgehog feels completely different. When comfortable, their quills can lie relatively flat. When frightened or defensive, muscles pull those quills upright and turn that cute potato into a fully weaponized potato.

Hedgehogs can lick or chew something interesting, make frothy saliva, then twist around and spread it over their quills. It’s called self-anointing, and we still don’t know exactly why they do it.

IMO it's like a dog rolling on something they like. It's yummy, they want to wear it. Still gross, but it makes sense in my mind.

This tiny gentleman is currently accepting applications for a future position as Professional Snack Inspector, Blanket Burrower & Household Supervisor. His résumé includes an excellent snoot, impressive quills, and being ridiculously adorable.
