✨ Meet the sweetest sisters we’ve been keeping under wraps! ✨

We haven’t officially introduced Dallas and Cooper yet because they’ve been on a medical hold while our veterinary team worked to determine what was causing some unusual symptoms.

After testing, they were diagnosed with Diabetes Insipidus, a condition that affects the body’s ability to regulate water balance.

The good news?

✔️ It is very manageable
✔️ Treatment is lifelong, but simple
✔️ Medication is low-cost—approximately $0.80–$1.00 per dog, per day
✔️ With consistent medication, they can live full, happy, normal lives

These sweet sisters take their medication like champs and don’t let their diagnosis slow them down one bit!

Dallas and Cooper greet every person they meet with the cutest little “talking” warble. They love playing with each other, romping with my dogs, and soaking up attention from their people. Their bond is special, and they bring twice the love, twice the companionship, and twice the joy.

Rusty is an English Cream Golden Retriever. Weighing 83.4 pounds, he is a strikingly handsome boy with a thick, curly coat and the large, blocky head often associated with the breed.

While Rusty is physically beautiful, he has had very limited exposure to life outside of a kennel run. He is understandably fearful of many new experiences, including being outdoors and handling for grooming. He is especially uncomfortable around water.

Rusty is looking for a patient, compassionate foster home and/or adopter that can help him learn how to be a dog. He will benefit greatly from a calm environment, consistent routine, and gentle guidance. A confident, social dog in the home would be especially helpful in teaching him that the world is a safe place.

Rustys journey will require time, understanding, and patience, but with the right foster family, he has every opportunity to blossom into the wonderful companion he was always meant to be.

Belle is a 4-year-old English Cream Golden Retriever. She weighs 58 pounds. She is a beautiful dog with tremendous potential.

When Belle arrived, her coat was matted and she was in need of significant grooming care. She had very limited exposure to life outside of her kennel environment and received little socialization.

Belle’s temperament reflects her past experiences. She is fearful of many everyday sights, sounds, and situations, and she is still learning how to navigate the world outside of the environment she has always known. Walking on a leash is a new experience for her, and she currently lacks the confidence and skills that most companion dogs develop.

With time, patience, and positive experiences, she has every opportunity to gain confidence and begin enjoying life as a cherished family dog. Belle is seeking a compassionate, patient foster home—ideally with experience helping shy or undersocialized dogs. A calm environment, predictable routine, and gentle guidance will be essential as she learns to trust and adjust to her new life.

Dogs like Belle require a special commitment, but watching them discover safety, comfort, and happiness for the first time is incredibly rewarding. If you have the experience and heart to help a dog on this journey, Belle would love the chance to meet you. 🐾❤️

Meet Delta

At just 2½ years old, she is a sweet, friendly Golden Retriever looking for a forever family to call her own.

Delta weighs 83.4 pounds and would benefit from reaching a healthier weight.

Delta already has a solid foundation of basic manners. She knows commands such as “sit” and “drop it,” enjoys playing fetch, and loves when toys or balls are thrown for her. She has a soft mouth and takes items gently, making playtime especially enjoyable.

She is comfortable being crated and previously lived with a cat, whom she reportedly ignored. During her initial evaluation, Delta showed herself to be a sweet, pleasant dog who enjoys human companionship and interaction.

Delta is currently settling into the care of a wonderful foster home, where she can continue to thrive while waiting for her perfect match.

With her loving personality, good manners, and playful spirit, Delta is sure to make a wonderful companion for a lucky family. 🐾❤️

Posey may not be a your typical Golden, but she certainly has the heart of one. This sweet young girl came into rescue after being picked up as a stray and finding herself at a shelter with very limited time. Thankfully, she was given a second chance.

Posey is approximately 6 months old and weighs 31 pounds. She is not expected to be a large dog when fully grown!

When Posey arrived, she was dealing with significant skin irritation and sores caused by flea dermatitis. She is receiving the care she needs and is already showing what a resilient and loving puppy she is.

Despite her young age and uncertain start in life, Posey has excellent house manners. She keeps her kennel clean and dry and patiently waits to be taken outside to potty. She is eager to learn and has already mastered both “sit” and “down.”

Posey has a moderate energy level and enjoys playing with other dogs, especially her foster’s 9-month-old Golden Retriever. She has a gentle, affectionate personality and quickly wins over everyone she meets.

If you’re looking for a sweet, intelligent companion with a loving disposition and plenty of potential, Posey may be the perfect addition to your family.

Fostering a dog is one of the most rewarding ways to volunteer — other than adopting, of course!

By opening your home to a Golden, you’re giving that dog the time, stability, and care they need to prepare for their forever home. Just as importantly, foster families help us learn more about each dog’s personality, behavior, and needs so we can make the best possible match for adoption.

Many foster dogs are also learning what life in a home is like for the first time. You may help them become comfortable around other pets, children, new environments, and everyday routines. It’s incredibly rewarding to watch a shy or timid dog gain confidence and truly blossom.

We are always in need of foster volunteers and would love for you to consider joining our rescue family. We’re happy to work with your household and personal preferences, and you’re welcome to include any requests or stipulations when completing the foster application.

Knox is a sweet, playful young dog who was surrendered with his brother, Rocky, after their owner moved and could not take them. Knox is estimated to be around 9 months to 1 year old.

Knox weighs 59 pounds and has a beautiful black curly coat with white highlights underneath his tail. He is the smaller of the two brothers.

He has a loving, happy personality and enjoys everyone he meets. Knox has all the fun, energetic puppy traits you would expect at this age. He would benefit from continued training, consistency, and leash work, as he tends to pull on walks and gets excited enough to jump up for attention. He also enjoys chewing on paper and cardboard like many young dogs do.

Meet Tucker, an 8-year-old owner surrender from Mississippi. Tucker has been a deeply loved member of his family since he was just three months old.

Tucker is a sweet-natured boy who loves chasing tennis balls, staying close to his people, and soaking up affection and pets. He currently weighs around 80 pounds Tucker was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at two years old.

Tucker has lived successfully with another male Golden Retriever and generally does well with other dogs. He can be mildly possessive of toys and food, typically offering a warning growl rather than escalating further. He has also lived with two indoor cats. He tolerates the female cat but has shown discomfort toward the male cat.

Tucker will do best in an adult-only home or one without young children, with a family willing to help him get back on his thyroid medication and give him the stability and understanding he deserves. He is a loyal companion who still has so much love to give.
