Keep your hopes up high and your head down low.
In this life, you will struggle, and you will stumble. So make sure you surround yourself with people who will help you find your footing—people who will encourage you, people who will cheer for you, people who will remind you of just how far you’ve come and just how far you can go when you move forward with boldness.
This has been an incredible challenge to finish.
Commuting from Melbourne to Ocoee five days a week for more than four months. Then balancing an apprenticeship on weekends while still working to finish the course. Long days. Difficult, anxious dogs. Expensive, unexpected car troubles.
It has cost so much time and so much money.
But I can’t tell you how good it feels to be able to say this:
I have graduated from the 600-hour Professional Pet Stylist Course at Woof Gang Academy.
The connections and friendships I’ve made along the way. The skilled and talented groomers I’ve met. The dogs I’ve had the privilege of working with. It has all been worth the long drives. The long days. The moments when I thought:
“Why did I quit my job? Why did I do this to myself? How will I ever be good enough to make a living doing this?”
Surprise—I already am.
That apprenticeship I started is now my full-time job.
And I can’t wait to show you all what I’m going to do next.
