✨Important Annoucement✨

Hi friends! I wanted to make a post on here, as well as my business website, that for the next few (4-8) weeks I will have very limited availability or no availability. I will be having surgery on April 13th: I will be taking the few weeks before to ensure I’m prepared for the time off I will need for surgery. Once I am back from surgery and recovered I may have some weight restrictions but I will let everyone know then.

I hate that I will not be able to provide peaceful at home services for your furry friends for a short period of time but, as a one woman show, I have to prioritize my health and recovery so I can continue to help families for years to come.,

In the meantime other service providers may be able to help - Blue Skies or Metro East Home Vet Care or Lap of Love.

Thank you for your understanding.

As 2025 comes to an end, I want to take a moment to acknowledge and honor the many families who entrusted me with helping their beloved pets pass peacefully this year.

I started this business in February, knowing there was a need for compassionate, in-home end-of-life care—but I never imagined just how great that need truly was. It has been my privilege to help 106 pets gently cross-over the Rainbow Bridge in 2025. Each one holds a special place in my heart, and each family I met left a lasting impression on me.

Every experience has reaffirmed why I became a veterinarian. My passion has always been to help pets, even—especially—during the hardest moments, when it is time to say goodbye. Being able to provide comfort, dignity, and peace during such an emotionally difficult time has been incredibly meaningful. Saying goodbye to a pet—a cherished family member or “fur child”—is without question one of the hardest decisions we make as pet parents.

This year was also deeply personal for me, as I had to say goodbye to one of my own beloved pets. When I say I understand how painful this decision is, I truly mean it from the bottom of my heart.

To every family who trusted me to care for and love their pet during their final moments, thank you. It has been an honor to help your cherished companions cross peacefully in the comfort of their homes.

Until the day we are reunited with our furry loved ones again. ♥️

Taking some time to reflect today and realized that since starting this business at the beginning of February I’ve helped 32 pets, and their families, cross the rainbow bridge. Although challenging, this is such a rewarding path being able to help families and ensure a peaceful passing for their fur babies.

During these past 4 months, I also had to help my soul baby, Sophia, cross the rainbow bridge. That was probably the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do, to be the one to make the decision and perform the services but it just gave me a better sense of exactly what all the families I help go through when making this difficult decision.

I truly hope that all the families I’ve helped have felt the passion and love I have for this field and that they felt their pet had the best, most peaceful final moments surrounded by all those that loved them♥️🐾

Hi there. Let me introduce myself - my name is Dr. Kraushaar (Dr. K) or Ashley, whichever you prefer. I started Cross-Over In Home Euthanasia after working in the clinic setting and realizing there was a severe need for this service in our area.

So many pets are terrified to come into the clinic and I would like to ease their stress and provide peace during their final moments in their own home. Additionally I hope to serve as a source of comfort and assurance for pet parents as they make this difficult decision. As someone who has had to make this decision for my own pets in the past, I can confidently say that it is the hardest decision we, as pet owners, have to make and my hope is to help ease your worries and make this as peaceful and respectful an experience as I can while honoring your pet.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have, I'm here to help.
