Hi everyone — I want to apologize for the radio silence.

I’ve had several people reach out asking about a timeline for my return, and unfortunately, I’m not able to provide one at this time. Given the unpredictability of my health, I can’t in good conscience set expectations when I don’t yet have consistent day-to-day stability.

Right now, I am continuing to work through adjustments to better manage my migraines and other ongoing health challenges, including the effects of autistic burnout. While I am doing better than I was in February, I’m not quite at a point where I can return in a reliable and sustainable way.

Please know that I truly miss my clients and the dogs I have the privilege of caring for. I think of you all often — every time I look out at the bus, I’m reminded of how much I love what I do.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued support during this time. It truly means a great deal.

Hi everyone — I wanted to give a quick update.

After closely tracking my symptoms over the last two weeks, and following the episode I had from Saturday through Monday, I’ve made the decision that I will not be returning next week.

It feels like each time I start to see progress and think I’m on the upswing, I run into another setback. Because of that pattern, I want to be cautious and make sure I’m truly stable before committing to a return date.

Right now, my criteria for returning are being migraine-free for at least a full week (to allow for both the lead-up and recovery effects), and being able to complete normal daily tasks without needing to sleep for several hours immediately afterward.

I’m continuing to take things one day at a time and focusing on getting stable before setting a new timeline. I truly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while I work through this — it means more than you know.

For now, I’m not scheduling or holding appointments until I know I can return safely. I’ll share an update as soon as I’m able to make a clear plan moving forward. 🤍

Hey y’all — just a quick update.

Next week I’ll be deciding whether my medical leave will need to extend into March. The biggest factors are whether I can get these migraines back under control and rebuild enough energy to safely return to work.

After this past week, I’ll be honest — it’s not looking great right now. But every day is a new day, and I’m taking things one step at a time.

As I get closer to returning, I’ll also be sharing some important updates about scheduling, service areas, and how I’ll be structuring things moving forward so I can work sustainably.

Thank you all for the patience, kindness, and support while I figure this out — it truly means a lot 💜

Hello everyone 🤍

I want to sincerely apologize but I’ve had to make the decision to clear my entire from February calendar until further notice.

Now that I’ve had time to process the situation, I’d like to provide a more detailed explanation as to why this sudden announcement.

This decision stems from a chronic medical condition I live with called ME/CFS (myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome).

ME/CFS is a serious, long-term neurological and immune condition that significantly impacts how the body generates and utilizes energy. Individuals with ME/CFS can experience severe fatigue, migraines, dizziness, or fainting, as well as neurological symptoms. A defining characteristic of this condition is post-exertional symptom worsening, meaning symptoms can suddenly flare up and intensify even after minimal physical, mental, or conversational exertion.

In my case, despite not having experienced a flare in several years, an unexpected increase in my workload triggered my familiar warning symptoms. During these periods, I find it challenging to stand for extended durations, struggle to hold conversations without difficulty finding words or difficulty thinking clearly, and it becomes unsafe for me to drive long distances, particularly while operating the grooming bus. My coordination and stamina are also affected, which compromises my ability to safely handle the professional grooming tools required for this job.

Rather than risk last-minute cancellations or compromised service and the safety of your pets and myself, I’ve made the difficult but necessary decision to clear my calendar until further notice.

During this time, I kindly request that clients seek care from other trusted local groomers so that your pets can continue receiving consistent grooming. Please note that this referral is temporary and not a permanent goodbye. When I’m able to return and maintain a reliable schedule, I would be delighted to welcome returning clients back.

I deeply appreciate your patience, kindness, and understanding. I will genuinely miss your pups and value the support from this community that I have built the last 10 months. I hope to see you soon!

I wanted to let you know that, unfortunately, all my appointments are on hold for the time being due to illness. I will be evaluating appointments on a day-by-day basis, as I do not know how long recovery will take. I’ll be monitoring my ability to function and safely resume work before confirming any future appointments.
I will do my best to provide at least 24 hours’ notice, or as close to that as possible, regarding the confirmation or cancelation of appointments.

Please bear with me as I navigate being bedridden and navigate scheduling challenges due to how far out my calendar is currently booked.

I will not be checking my phone, Facebook messages or responding except to communicate cancelations at this moment in time so I ask for your patience.

Thank you for your understanding and support during this time.

Sincerely, Kristin Hope

I unfortunately have another important announcement to make.

Last nights cold not only did a number on the truck but also my house/well. Luckily everything is slowly coming back however, with the next few nights being equally cold, at this moment until we are above a consistent +34° night time temperature, appointments starting between 11-3 will be assessed on a day by day basis.

Today I have been working on attempting to make adjustments and fixes and preparations to try to avoid future problems, but Mother Nature doesn’t really care unfortunately.

I thank you for your understanding and patience at this time!

One day I will have a Garage that can keep the bus sheltered and warm enough to avoid water problems, however right now I am at the mercy of the wind and pray the sun warms things up as fast as possible!

Good morning everyone! I hope you all survived the chilly weather this weekend!

I’m currently on my way home, but I wanted to make sure I got everything in order.

As of early last week, I’ve fully booked my February appointments, and March is filling up quickly!

Unfortunately, I have to put a hold on accepting new clients again. This also means I’m closing my waitlist for now, as it’s longer than I ever anticipated.

Starting February 1st, all future booked appointments will begin no earlier than 11 a.m.

Office hours will still start at 10 a.m. for questions and bookings, but no appointments will start until 11 a.m. (I have a few February appointments that are 10-10:30, and those will be honored, but in the future, they will be no earlier.)

Starting March 1st:
My Mondays are my Mondays, and my Saturdays are my dogs’ day.

I won’t be shuffling my office days off anymore. I won’t be accepting any Monday appointments or any of my few random Saturdays.

These changes are necessary to ensure that I can service your dogs to the best of my ability while also taking care of myself and being able to work and train my own dogs.

On a lighter note:
Let me know if you’d like to hear about Ash and my weekend adventure! I might make a post about it over the next few days if people are interested.

I hope you all have a great rest of your week!

Hey y'all, just a reminder that I am out of the office until Monday/Tuesday. I will respond to any texts, calls, or Facebook messages when I return!

Stay safe this weekend!! See ya soon 💕
