The day is almost over. It’s been a long one, and I wanted to do this cool reel thing but I couldn’t figure it out. I even enlisted my teenage daughter and she couldn’t get it to work. BUT we can’t let this day go by without mentioning our sweet Penny’s birthday. She wears seven well!

First,Penny is fine. We struck out this morning in spite of the impending blizzard and dusted up about a dozen pheasants. Managed to bag one of them, and caught it on video too! (coming soon)

While we were out Penny clipped her ear on some barbed wire and bled all over. A tiny wound, but we had to cut things short just so we could stop her making a mess of herself. Got her home and bathed and bandaged. She would rather have kept hunting.
