Northwest Boxer Rescue is the largest nonprofit, volunteer-driven rescue serving the Pacific Northwest and Southern California. Our mission is simple: rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Boxers in need while educating and supporting the people who love them. We take in unwanted, abandoned, and medically complex dogs—regardless of age, condition, or ease of placement—and give them the care they deserv

e. Every dog in our program receives veterinary treatment, is spayed or neutered, and is placed in a safe, loving foster home while they wait for the right forever family. We work hard to place each dog in a responsible, committed home and help adopters feel confident and prepared for the lifelong commitment of bringing a dog into their family. At the heart of it all, we believe every Boxer deserves safety, healing, and a second chance.

(Yes, we know. He’s a boy. No, he’s not interested in discussing it.)⁣

At 76 pounds, Lucy is basically a weighted blanket with opinions.⁣
⁣
His favorite hobby? Being wherever you are.⁣
⁣
Making coffee? Lucy’s there.⁣
Watching TV? Lucy’s there.⁣
Trying to go to the bathroom alone? Nice try.⁣
⁣
This handsome 2-year-old Boxer believes personal space is highly overrated and that every couch is better when shared.⁣
⁣
Lucy is kid-friendly, crate trained, leash trained, and currently earning advanced degrees in Confidence Building and Public Adventures. He’s been practicing his social skills at places like Home Depot and PetSmart, and he’s making great progress every day.⁣

He’s also an award-winning napper, a professional cuddle consultant, and the proud owner of a snore so powerful it may qualify as a weather event.⁣
⁣
Lucy is looking for a family willing to give him a little patience, a little guidance, and a whole lot of love.⁣

Fully committed to checking out every leaf, stick, and mysterious object he encounters.⁣

His current hobbies include:⁣
• collecting treasures (whether they’re his or not)⁣
• making new dog friends⁣
• following you around to see what you’re doing⁣
• testing every toy for quality control purposes⁣

Like any puppy, he’s working on the important stuff:⁣

We’ve got flashy fawns, reverse brindles, Boxer mixes, and one scruffer nutter who seems to operate entirely on impulse.⁣
⁣
Collectively, they have:⁣
• zero understanding of personal space⁣
• unmatched cuddle abilities⁣
• approximately 47 opinions about squirrels⁣
⁣
Some are polished.⁣
Some are still learning that countertops are not self-serve buffets.⁣
A few want adventure.⁣
A few want one person, one couch, and absolutely no drama.⁣
⁣
Together? An iconic lineup.⁣

We love those moments.⁣

What you don’t always see are the dozens of people behind them:⁣

• the late-night texts trying to find an emergency foster⁣
• volunteers squeezing applications in between work and family⁣
• someone driving hours for transport or a vet appointment⁣
• fundraising because one surgery changed everything⁣
• difficult decisions when there simply aren’t enough hands to help⁣
⁣
Rescue doesn’t run on magic.⁣
⁣
It runs on ordinary people saying:⁣

I can foster one dog.⁣
I can help with transport once a month.⁣
I can volunteer at an event.⁣
I can answer emails.⁣

At 7 years old and 75 pounds, she’s fully embraced her “long walks, soft beds, afternoon naps, and protect my peace” era.⁣⁣

Claire is looking for a home where she can be your one-and-only furry companion. She loves her people deeply and would prefer not to share them with other pets. Think: loyal best friend, devoted sidekick, professional couch companion.⁣

6 years old. 85 pounds. Equal parts protector, playmate, and professional nap enthusiast.⁣

Blazer takes his job seriously:⁣
✔️ Love his people with his whole heart⁣
✔️ Keep watch over the family⁣
✔️ Patrol for suspicious squirrels⁣
✔️ Perform occasional Boxer zoomies despite being a “mature adult”⁣

He’s amazing with kids, crate trained, leash trained, and happiest when included in everyday life. Think: school pickups, backyard hangs, movie nights… followed by dramatic snoring.⁣

Blazer is looking for an experienced home that understands leash reactivity and will help him continue building confidence with patient leadership and slow introductions. He’d likely thrive as your one-and-only sidekick.⁣

🚨 EMERGENCY: We were asked to help save this sweet boy in Southern California and time is NOT on his side.⁣⁣⁣

He has a dislocated right hip and urgently needs major surgery:⁣

💔 Shelter is unable to afford treatment, so he’s currently being managed with pain medication⁣
