It is hot today! Just a reminder that your pups paws are not made for the temperature outside, let alone touching the pavement. Limit time outside and on the pavement, utilize grassy areas if you can!

And to my human friends - keep hydrated and stay inside if you can! If you begin to feel disoriented even in the slightest, seek medical care. Dehydration happens fast, and your fur babies need you! The world needs you too. 💙

Stay cool, hydrated and if anyone needs anything, let me know! We didn’t survive our Midwest winters to not conquer this IL heat!

You guys not only raised enough for his groom, but to groom TWO MORE DOGS in his rescue. 😭😭 he’s so clean, and so relieved to be a little lighter today! He’s ready to be seen at the adoption event tomorrow! 🎉

In 3 weeks of fostering Bowser/Bo, he’s received zero applications and zero interest. I’m absolutely heartbroken for this sweet boy, and so we’re calling in reinforcements to help!

SO many of you have offered old towels, blankets, toys and even treats for our fosters and the rescues I know! I cannot say enough how much they’re appreciated. They will definitely be used!

Today, Angie’s Dog Grooming is doing her best to clean Bo up in hopes tomorrow at his first adoption event, having a fresh cut and even better bath than we did will help someone notice him!

This cost is not covered by the rescue, as they did and continue to do much for all foster cats and dogs with medication, neuter/spay, food, vaccinations, etc. If you would like to donate to today’s first bath and groom, please send me a message or comment below! We’d be so delighted and for anyone who donates, I will put your name in a raffle to win a free day of pet care or local restaurant gift card if you’re not in need of care. 🎉

I’m almost embarrassed to ask, but I know the community on this page has shown up time and time again for not only each other, but even my own family in a time of need. I always joke (but mean sincerely) to know a Taylor’s client is to LOVE a Taylor’s client.

A couple weeks back I lost my sweet friend Petey. Petey is the toughest cookie I’ve ever dogsat. I had to work hard to earn his trust, and I am absolutely honored at the end to have been on his list of favorite people. Some might say even his top 5! He was abused before being adopted by his wonderful family, and I know they were truly the best people for his golden years. He was spoiled and loved in all the best ways you could ask for!

Though his loss came abruptly, I am grateful to have been able to say goodbye prior to his rainbow bridge departure. As I went to leave his home, he came to greet me one last time as I hugged his people goodbye. Petey, I will miss our quiet, but sweet times of sitting on your deck watching the birds and the boats on the river. I will miss your thrill for walks, and the snuggles you showed me after 2 1/2 years together. You are etched into my heart.

I will miss you forever my friend, see you next time love bug. Save me a walk at the bridge.. I love you! 🩵🐾🌈

Please send his family your love and peace as they navigate their loss. 🙏🏼
