Bruno says ok taking medicine and doing training isn't so bad when its wrapped in hot dog! Bruno started the 2 weeks of Doxycycline for his heartworm treatment yesterday. So far we have his vet bill from the weekend paid and have $175.83 saved to go toward his neuter and heartworm treatment! Thank you to those who have donated so far! I had a couple people ask about other needs he might have. Good quality dog food could always be used! Safe chew bones for his kennel. I honestly cant think of anything else. I have beds and toys and he is wearing one of Justice's collars. The main thing he needs is vet care and a home!!! Please keep sharing! He is going to make some family an amazing dog!

Bruno on his first walk. I am a little concerned with how heavy he is breathing with it only being 70 degrees and it was just 1/2 a mile at this pace. He is not in great shape but doesnt seem to be horrible body condition. Maybe the heartworms :( This morning we worked on leash and gate manners. He is a good boy but just doesnt seem to know much. He does know "sit". I think he has had some harsh corrections in the past. While we were working on waiting at the gate he shoved thru about jerking my arm off. I gave a correction sound and he hit the ground cowering like he thought I was going to tear into him. Nope buddy we are just going to do it again slower until you understand what I am asking of you. Please keep sharing this guy. Still looking for donations for his heartworm treatment and his new home.

I picked Bruno up from the vet and thankfully all the fleas are gone. Now hopefully his hair will grow back. Next we work on getting him neutered and heartworm treatment. I will share his journey along the way so please share him so we can find him a great home or rescue. He is a sweet boy. Vet estimates around 4 years old. No microchip. Right now he is around 90 lbs but my guess is he will be close to 100 once healthy. He loads in the car and seems to like to ride. McAlester, OK.
