🦌 DEER SEASON REMINDER 🦌
If you’re bringing me a deer head this season, please make sure it doesn’t spoil before drop-off!
Drop-Off Timeframes:
• During warmer weather, I recommend dropping your head off within 3 days.
• Once the weather gets colder, you have about 7 days.
• If you can’t make it within that timeframe, simply place the entire head in the freezer — hide and all — until you can bring it by.
Please remember, I cannot feed rotten meat to the beetles.
There is no need to skin the head yourself. I’ll take care of that for you!
🏷️ Please attach the following information to the head or bag:
• Your name
• Phone number
• DNR confirmation number
⏳ TURNAROUND TIME
Your head will not be ready in a week, and there’s a good reason for that. Each skull goes through a degreasing process for at least 10 weeks.
Proper degreasing helps pull the oils from the bone, preventing the skull from turning yellow or attracting bugs in your home. Taking the extra time allows me to provide you with a clean, quality finished product that will last.
Once finished, every skull is sealed with a clear protective coating to help prevent staining from dust and make it easy to wipe clean.
