Helen is being pulled by a different rescue as we received no foster offers.

From shelter 6/16 - Helen is actually having a complete turn around today! She got her intake vaccines and is soaking up all the attention! New photos in the comments 🥰

This girl was brought in as a stray after being found by a concerned community member. Upon examination and observation, the shelter believes she is partially to fully blind and deaf.

Since arriving at the shelter, she has understandably struggled with the environment.

Despite her challenges, they see a dog who wants to feel safe. Their staff has been working patiently with her, and she is currently receiving trazodone to help manage her anxiety while she adjusts. She would benefit greatly being with a foster experienced in working with sensory-impaired dogs—in an environment where she can receive more individualized attention, consistency, and the opportunity to build confidence at her own pace.

The shelter named her Helen Keller. We would like to help her.
