We wrapped up the Central Montana Reined Cowhorse show series this past weekend in Laurel, MT. It's been a fun year showing Catastrophic Cat throughout Montana in the Open Bridle, winning 7 of the 8 shows! All up until this very last show when he decided to drag a lead as far as one can drag one and then decided to take the worst cow down the fence we could draw! By the skin of our teeth we managed to win the Top Cowhorse award marking the highest accumulative fence scores over the year, winning only by a half point after 8 shows! Mary Gandy was right on our heels coming into Sunday and nearly got us! She's riding a great little horse and deserves all she does win.

A big thank you to the owner of Catastrophic Cat, Beverly Rees, to those involved in putting each show together, and to the saddle makers of this beautiful saddle, Dan Wyatt and Carol Gessell.

We got the new futurity prospect in! "Lincoln" the Belgian. Roughly 18hh. Lincoln was just retired from the hitch of Rees Family Belgians & Cattle Co. in Elk, Washington to start his new career as a riding horse. We're working on slide stops and spins on day 1 of riding. He's got a promising future in the show pen ;)

The perfect amount of rain to water the arena! Nothing as pretty as fresh groomed ground.

Put the saddle on the rack this evening and went to town to celebrate the 4th of July in Melba with great friends, Rocky and Haley! The fireworks show was awesome and the tacos were great! It's pretty amazing to think about what it took to establish this country. We're blessed beyond words. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲

Returned from Dillon, MT. last weekend from the CMRCHA Clark Canyon Cowhorse Classic where Catastrophic Cat had two more wins! Taking both shows 1 and 2 in the Open Bridle! Marking a 74 down the fence in day 2. It was fun taking the "boss" Oakley along as well!

CMRCHA Twisted Wire horse show is a wrap, getting an early start back to Idaho from Montana in the morning. Catastrophic Cat dominated the show, winning the Open Bridle Spectacular, the Open Bridle (show 1) and Open Bridle (show 2) with a big 75 down the fence today! It was certainly a great show, great people, and great atmosphere. We're grateful we could attend!

Congratulations to owner, Bev Rees!
