Lisa’s Dog Training started with a simple desire to help a few friends with their dogs—but it didn’t take long for us to realize how much our community needed quality obedience training. What began in our backyard has now grown into a welcoming training facility we’re proud to call home. Our group classes are intentionally small so everyone gets personal guidance, yet big enough for dogs to build

confidence through socialization. We focus on practical obedience skills that help people and their dogs communicate better and succeed together. This shirt makes me laugh. I love playing with and snuggling puppies, however lately I feel like it’s an epidemic with the amount of dogs being turned over to shelters for a variety of reasons like, “I don’t have time for them” or “I can’t afford them “ or “ I’m moving and can’t take them with me.”

Please know that owning/adopting a dog is not a short term “rental agreement.” You become that dog’s life. They depend on you for everything, trust you, love you unconditionally, and they are your responsibility for their whole life.

Please take the time to consider ALL the costs. Food, vet, training, toys, time, etc. Puppies are so cute but they grow up and they need to be trained (as does the human). A new baby in the house, moving, etc does not mean you get rid of the dog. They are family.

Our dogs deserve better! We can’t send our dogs to a counselor to talk through their abandonment r fear issues (because they don’t speak like we do!), but we can get them help.

As a trainer, I see so many different behavioral issues and have had a lot of success working through those issues.

Let’s do better for our dogs!

In honor of tonight’s lunar eclipse, I bring you memories from the past when we rock scrambled to the top of a mountain for a lunar eclipse (& came down after it was pitch daRk!)
Mind you, I don’t like heights but it sure was amazing!!
