ECHO HAS BEEN FOUND

Echo is home. He was recovered this afternoon on the wooded hillside near 25th Street in Parkersburg, less than a mile from where he slipped his leash in the 1400 block of 33rd Street on Tuesday evening.

He was out roughly two days. He is muddy and he worked his way through some heavy briars, but he does not appear to be injured. He is back with his family tonight.

This one came home because people paid attention. Community members saw the posts, kept their eyes open, spotted him, and got word to his owner quickly. That is the entire model working exactly the way it is supposed to. Every share put his face in front of someone new, and one of those people is the reason he is sleeping at home instead of in the woods.

Thank you to everyone who shared, commented, watched their yards, and sent in what they saw. Please keep doing it. The next dog is going to need the same thing.

A note worth keeping: Echo held tight to a wooded pocket less than a mile from home. That is normal. A frightened dog usually is not running for miles, it is hiding close by. Search close, search low, and check the brush, the ditches, and the hillsides before you assume a dog has gone far.

If you spot a loose or frightened animal, do not chase and do not call out. Note the location and direction of travel and report it to our anonymous tip line at 740-206-8831 or through petsearchalliance.org.

Welcome home, Echo.

MISSING FROM BEVERLY, OHIO - Approximately 4 hours missing

Pet Search Alliance Mid-Ohio Valley has opened an active case for River, a 5-year-old female German Shepherd, tan in color.

River was last seen Monday, August 18, 2026 at approximately 5:50 PM near the 200 block of 5th Street in Beverly. She slipped out of her harness while being taken outside and has not been seen at the residence since.

River is not wearing a collar and has no visible identification. She is described as skittish. She is also in an unfamiliar area and does not know this neighborhood, which means she has no home base to return to and may travel much farther than a dog would in her own territory.

An unconfirmed sighting has been reported along the Route 60 corridor. Our team is working to verify it. If you live, work, or drive along Route 60 between Beverly and the surrounding area, please check outbuildings, brush lines, ditches, and any security or doorbell camera footage from Monday evening forward.

DO NOT CHASE. DO NOT CALL OUT TO HER.

River is frightened. Calling her name or following her will push her farther from the search area and can drive her toward traffic. If you see her, stop, stay where you are, and note three things: your exact location, the time, and the direction she was traveling. Then report it right away.

Report a sighting anytime, day or night:
Call or text 740-206-8831
Or report anonymously through petsearchalliance.org

Please share this post directly from our page rather than copying it. Sharing from the source keeps every version current and makes sure sightings reach our case team instead of getting lost in comment threads. Comment below to stay updated as this case develops.

August 17, 2026 — MISSING FROM MARIETTA, OHIO

Pet Search Alliance is assisting on an active case in the 1400 block of Colegate Drive in Marietta, Ohio.

Jerry, a large gray tabby, has been missing since the evening of Thursday, August 13, 2026 — now 4 days. He was last seen that night at his usual feeding spot and did not appear for breakfast the following morning. He is a neutered male, approximately 6 years old and 16 lbs, with green eyes and a white muzzle and chest. He wears no collar and is not microchipped.

Jerry is a friendly, highly social cat who is very vocal and strongly food motivated. He is well known in his immediate area and is accustomed to being outdoors there, which means he is most likely still within a short radius of where he was last seen.

If you see him:
Do not chase, call out to him, or attempt to pick him up. A displaced cat can be pushed well outside his home range by well-meaning pursuit. Note your exact location, the time, and the direction he traveled, then report it.

Businesses and residents along Colegate Drive and the surrounding lots: please check garages, sheds, storage buildings, loading areas, crawl spaces, and under decks and porches. Cats commonly shelter in enclosed spaces close to home, and doors are frequently closed behind them without anyone realizing. If you have a building or vehicle bay that has been closed since Thursday night, please open it and call for him.

Report sightings anonymously by scanning the QR code, visiting petsearchalliance.org, or calling 740-206-8831.

Please share this post and comment below to stay updated on this case. Comments and shares keep it visible to people inside the search area.
