UPDATE: Murphy now has her own case page with full details, photos, and a live counter showing how long she has been missing.

https://www.petsearchalliance.org/the-psa-tracker/murphy-waverly-wv

It has been one week, and we have not received any sightings. Yard signs are out along Copperhead Road. If you live in the Waverly area, please check barns, outbuildings, under decks and porches, and any doorbell or trail camera footage from October 4 forward.

If you took in a friendly tan and white dog that you thought was a stray, please call us. Collars can come off, so she may not be wearing one now.

You do not need a Facebook account to report. Use the case page or call 740-206-8831. All tips can be anonymous.

Please share the case page link so it reaches people who are not on Facebook.

MISSING FROM WAVERLY, WV, 1400 block of Copperhead Road

Murphy has been missing since 3:30 PM this afternoon. She was playing in the yard and wandered off, which is not normal for her. She has never left the property before.

Murphy is a 2 year old female Beagle and Bulldog mix. She is tan and white with a white stripe down her forehead, a white chest, white paws and a dark muzzle. She is wearing a pink collar with a tag and a blue training collar.

Murphy is very friendly but can be a little nervous around new people. This is rural ground, so if you live, farm or hunt along Copperhead Road or the surrounding area, please check under decks and porches, in open garages, barns and outbuildings, along your tree lines, and review any doorbell or trail camera footage from this afternoon forward.

Please do not chase her, call her name, or try to catch her. Even a friendly dog can panic once she is lost and may bolt from anyone, including people she knows. If you see her, stop where you are, note your exact location and the direction she was traveling, and report it. If you believe someone may have picked her up, please let us know.
