📣Let’s say it loudly: breed restrictions are not keeping communities safe. They are separating families, limiting housing options, filling shelters, and getting innocent dogs killed.
Every day, responsible owners are forced to choose between keeping their homes and keeping their dogs. Meanwhile, shelters and rescues are left trying to place perfectly adoptable dogs in a world where landlords, insurance companies, HOAs, and entire communities have already decided they are dangerous based solely on how they look.
A dog’s breed, or someone’s guess about its breed, does not tell you its temperament, training, history, or behavior.
If we genuinely care about public safety, we need breed-neutral policies that evaluate dogs individually and hold owners accountable for their actions.
Breed restrictions are not the solution. They are part of the shelter crisis.
Stop banning breeds. Start judging dogs as individuals.
Share this post. Challenge discriminatory policies. Speak up for the dogs and families being harmed by them.
