I’m just going to preface this by saying I’m very upset right now.

Unfortunately I have to make a really hard decision. I just can’t afford $6,500-$10,000 and there are very few options when it comes to emergency exotic vets. I was prepared to spend 2-3k and that was using a credit card.

It just tears me up that I can’t save her or even try. She’s such a sweet girl. I was going to have her spayed this month too when they had openings at FAPL. It would have saved her life…

When I got up this evening (I work midnights) I went to feed the rabbits and found Opal to be having a medical emergency.

Opal is one of the rabbits rescued from Waverly. She is such a friendly sweet girl.

It appears to be a uterine prolapse- I just drove to Hilliard Ohio Med Vet and they have her back there now.

She probably needs a blood transfusion and I know she needs emergency surgery. I’m just waiting for them to come back with results and a quote before they call in their exotic team on call….

**I do still have to work on my technique so it’s less choppy and the little guy did get a little nick even with the guard on 🥺 I’ll be using something different for legs from now on. **

Luma is a 3 year old female lop. She will be spayed before adoption. She’s an extra sassy girl that would require a home without young children.

She currently doesn’t like being picked up but with some extra attention she can become more accustomed to it.
