Every morning, a tiny Italian Greyhound named Luna would run to the front gate and wait.

She used to greet her owner there every day, jumping with excitement the moment she saw him coming home. But one day, he stopped coming.

Days turned into weeks, yet Luna never missed her daily routine. She would sit quietly by the gate, her ears perked up at every sound, hoping to see the familiar face she loved so much.

Neighbors tried to comfort her, but Luna's eyes always drifted back to the road.

She didn't understand why her best friend was gone.

She only knew that she missed him.

And so, she kept waiting, holding onto a hope that never faded. 💔🐾😢

I thought I was bringing home an Italian Greyhound.
Turns out, I adopted a fragile little runway model with the emotional range of a Shakespearean actress — and I’m her entire audience.
🚽 Bathroom? There. Judging me silently like I’ve disappointed her lineage.
🍳 Kitchen? Hovering elegantly, neck stretched like she’s inspecting a Michelin-star dish.
🚪 Taking out the trash? She stands there trembling like a Victorian widow watching her lover leave for war.
She doesn’t sit.
She curates poses — long legs folded like origami, chin lifted, like she belongs on the cover of Vogue.
✨ Dramatic shivers if the temperature drops by 0.5°C.
🛏️ Will burrow under blankets like a tiny ghost if emotionally overwhelmed (or slightly chilly… which is always).
🥣 Once refused dinner because the vibe felt “off.”
And the zoomies?
Absolutely unhinged.
One second she’s a delicate porcelain statue, the next she’s a blur of limbs sprinting through the house like she just remembered taxes are due.
She’s:
Licked condensation off every window like a tiny wine connoisseur
Stolen socks and hidden them like priceless artifacts
Once grabbed a snack, panicked mid-heist, and froze dramatically in the hallway like she forgot her lines
I’ve bought every “durable” toy.
She ignores them — too pedestrian.

I gave in.
Now she carries it around like it’s her emotional support sea creature.
🐙 Tosses it. Nibbles it.
Sometimes just rests beside it like they’re sharing a quiet existential moment.
It’s still intact.
Which is more than I can say for:

🛋️ my blankets
🧠 and my ability to take anything seriously anymore
