Meet Turnip — and TTT
If you’ve been following Claw & Order, you’ve seen plenty of our clients. You’ve seen Turnip too, but you might not realize who he is. Real life Turnip is one of our nine cats. He’s also our logo mascot and the inspiration behind something new here at Claw & Order: TTT — Turnip’s TNR Tally.
We recently started helping a local family who cares for a large cat colony. Unfortunately, people have also abandoned cats there, and the family has found themselves caring for far more cats than they ever intended. They do an incredible job looking after them, but they aren't able to make the trip to PPAWS to get them neutered. That's where we’ve jumped in to help. For the past three weeks, we've been making the trip, transporting cats to their appointments and bringing them home again. And we plan to keep going.
TNR — Trap, Neuter, Return — is one of the most effective ways to help manage community cat populations. Spaying and neutering means fewer litters, healthier colonies, and fewer kittens born into a situation where there may not be enough homes for them. And when it comes to adoption, being sterilized makes finding a home easier.
We're a brand-new small business, and right now we aren't in a position to make large financial contributions to causes in our community. But we have a vehicle, time, and lots of love for the people and cats here.
TTT — Turnip's TNR Tally — will be our way of keeping track of the cats we've helped along the way. Every number on Turnip's tally represents one more cat who has been spayed or neutered and one more step toward a healthier, more manageable colony.
We're proud that Claw & Order isn't just about grooming cats. We want to be part of the community that cares about them, too — and we're excited to see where we can take that as our business grows.
Every Cat Has a Story. And we're grateful to be able to help write a few better chapters.
