💔🐾 He wrapped his paw around me and leaned against my leg when I pulled him from a high-kill shelter. It was as if he was saying, “Thank you for saving me.” 😭❤️

Rock On Rescue Inc. pulled him, and he is SAFE! But so many others are still waiting, running out of time.

This is me and my Biscuit. I had recently adopted him. This is before I knew any better. Harness and a retractable leash.... Lord help me.... I thought he was just living it up. Loved chasing squirrels and ducks. I loved this dog! I thought I was just giving him the best life and making up for his time in a horrible shelter and unknown past..... He was pretty reactive to other dogs and even people he did not know. Little by little he got out of control.
THEN it happened. I was very viciously attacked by another dog at a local rescue. That dog knew me well and he actually loved me.... So, don't think that it can't also happen to you. I then became scared of my own Biscuit. This dog that I loved so much, I was now scared of. To keep this a short post, I will just say this - let ME take the brunt of the hard lesson for you. Are you having behavioral issues with your pup? No matter the age... Biscuit was trained at 7 years old. Don't settle for unwanted behavior from your dogs.
