It’s 62 and sunny and a crisp early autumn day here on the farm. But it’s not always that beautiful and seasons of doubt happen.

A few weeks back you may have gotten an email from me about some doubts I’d been having about our small farming operation that focuses on regenerative practices to preserve soil and really raise some tasty healthy products.

There was an offer for a large chicken grower and the financial stability was hard to pass up but I couldn’t stand the thought of telling our family of customers that we were no longer committed to nutrient dense food raised right.

So through a lot of prayer and thinking our hearts and goals remain steadfast in our motivation to raise food right by our customers and the environment.

Anyway here are some of our happy herd enjoying this beautiful day as are we.☀️

It's a Monday morning in September which means the perfect time to talk about a good ole' cup of coffee. ☕️

Years ago before starting this farm I traveled to live in Nicaragua with our church’s mission where we lived for 5 years. I fell in love with Central America and really developed a love for their coffee!

After starting the farm and building a market we wanted to bring our love of Central American coffee and share it with our community and that's how we got into the coffee business.

We have a few single source types and our best selling "Porch Blend" and yes it's meant to be drank on a good porch on any morning that you need a cup of comfort.

As farmers we often like to save the beef steaks for the customers but pork steaks are kind of our little secret. 🐖

While beef steaks seem to get all the attention, pork steaks are a really good eat for a lot less money. Marinated and grilled or pan fried, you can't go wrong with pork steaks from our pasture-raised pigs.

Cut out of the shoulder, or commonly know as Boston Butt, they are loaded with flavor. They come packaged two per pack and weight approximately 2 lbs. per pack. We will post some recipes to our stories in case you need any inspiration!

Happy to Wild, our Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dog. A few years ago we purchased two litter mates as puppies and the children named them Wild & Free.

Unfortunately Free got sick and passed away leaving Wild to handle the guarding the herd. After Free died, Wild started staying close to home and mainly guarding us. We think he didn’t want to lose another member of the pack.

On every good farm there’s a great farm dog holding down the fort. ❤️

Improving the ecosystem of our farm meant adding bees! These bees are here to pollinate crops and support a healthy growing ecosystem.

We have a few hives helping pollinate our fields of sunflowers, grass mixes and other crops. It’s nice to hear their buzzing when we go out in the morning. 🐝

This Saturday the 13th is "National Filet Mignon Day!" We aren't sure who comes up with these holidays but any excuse to eat a good steak right?

Our filet mignon are not a steak to be missed. Grass-fed steaks can be a bit more lean especially this cut so we have some tips to make sure you really get to enjoy the flavor of this steak.
