Friends of Animals Rescue & Adoption Center - Lynchburg,TN We are a small 501 c3 tax deductible Rescue for homeless dogs and cats in Lynchburg,Tn. Check us out. We are open by appointment only.

Friends of Animals is a 501c3 tax deductible non profit organization formed in November 2013. In our city/county, We do not have any type of animal shelter, animal control, no enforcement of animal related laws or any type of outlet for unwanted animals. We are the one and only organization making a difference in the lives of helpless dogs and cats in our community. Our mission is to care for and

re-home stray, abandoned animals in our community, along with educating the public on the importance of spay/neuter and proper pet care. We do not receive any funding from the government, the city or county or grants. We operate solely on donations from individuals and local businesses. All our animals receive the same care and love they would if they were our own pets. We strive to create a 'home like' atmosphere to help the animals feel comfortable and safe while we have them and make for a better transition into their forever home. FOR DONATIONS:

❤️ ONCE AGAIN, THIS COMMUNITY HAS EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS! ❤️

You heard our call for help, and you JUMPED into action! 🐾🍼

We are so incredibly happy to announce that ALL of the bottle babies have been accounted for and will be going into foster homes! 🙌❤️

To each and every person who responded, shared our post, offered to foster, or stepped up to take a baby—or two—THANK YOU!

Bottle feeding is not easy. It means late nights, early mornings, interrupted sleep, lots of laundry, and a whole lot of patience. But the reward is something pretty incredible: knowing that your time, love, and dedication helped save a tiny life. 🐱🍼❤️

This is what community looks like. When these babies needed you, you showed up.

From all of us at Moore County Friends of Animals, and from some very tiny babies who can't say it themselves…

THANK YOU! 🐾❤️

It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful that YOU are ours.

🚨🐾 URGENT — WE NEED OUR BOTTLE BABY PEOPLE! 🐾🚨

Everyone, we desperately need your help.

We have tiny kittens who need bottle feeding, and the wonderful lady currently caring for them cannot do this all by herself. These babies need around-the-clock care, and we are asking our community to come together and help us save them. ❤️

🍼 If you have experience with bottle babies and can take ONE OR TWO kittens, WE NEED YOU!

We will provide the formula and supplies needed. What we need from you is the time, love, and commitment to care for a baby or two for approximately 5–6 weeks until they are old enough to eat on their own.

🏠 Our facility is CLOSED today and no one is in the office, so please do not call the rescue.

👉 Private message us directly through our page or comment/reach out on this post if you can help.

Even taking ONE kitten can make a huge difference. One person cannot do this alone—but together, this community can give these babies the chance they deserve.

Please SHARE, SHARE, SHARE! We need to find experienced bottle-baby fosters as soon as possible. 🍼🐱❤️

🤫 Okay, everyone… we’ve been holding onto a BIG secret, and we just can’t keep it anymore!

Remember Buckshot? Well, Buckshot—who is now officially Kibo—has found his FOREVER HOME! 🏡❤️🐾

But this story is so much more than just an adoption.

Kibo’s new owner was actually the person who rescued him from the bad situation he was living in. After helping save him once, he decided that Kibo deserved to be rescued one more time—this time by giving him a family and a forever home of his very own. ❤️

And let me tell you… this boy HIT THE JACKPOT! 🎰🐶

After everything Kibo has been through, knowing where he is going and the life that is waiting for him makes our hearts so incredibly happy.

Kibo will be neutered on September 25th, and after that, he’ll be heading HOME to start living the good life with his amazing new family! 🏡🐾

From being tied to a tree to being loved, wanted, and part of a family—this is why we do what we do.

Happy Gotcha Day, Kibo! ❤️
Your past is behind you, sweet boy. Now go live the beautiful life you always deserved.

And to his new family, thank you for rescuing him not once, but twice. 🐾❤️

UPDATE: THIS BABY IS BACK HOME!!! Thank you to everyone who shared this and to the person that rescued this baby

🚛 WE HAVE TWO TRAILERS FULL OF STUFF! 🚛

We are officially DONE accepting yard sale donations. Thank you to every single person who donated and helped make this possible.

💪 NOW WE COULD USE SOME EXTRA HANDS!

Tomorrow at 5:00 PM, we will be unloading both trailers at Lynchburg Veterinary Hospital and getting everything set up and ready for Saturday morning.

If you have some time and would like to come help us unload, organize, and set up, we would absolutely love to have you! The more hands we have, the easier it will be.

From all of us at Moore County Friends of Animals, THANK YOU. ❤️ You always seem to know exactly when we need you, and you continue to go above and beyond for this rescue and these animals.

🚨 ONCE AGAIN… WE ARE ON OVERLOAD. 🐾

As you know, we like to keep our community updated on what’s happening here at Moore County Friends of Animals—the good, the bad, and sometimes the overwhelming.

In less than ONE WEEK, we have taken in:

🐶 6 dogs
🐱 11 cats
😿 3 bottle baby kittens

And that is on top of an already FULL facility.

Right now, we are caring for 27 cats and 12 dogs. We have another dog coming in Monday, and there are still 4 dogs on our waiting list needing a safe place to go.

And here’s a number that really puts things into perspective…

❤️ We have taken in 215 animals THIS YEAR ALONE.

But intake is only part of what we do.

Every day, we are helping Moore County residents with spay and neuter assistance, working our TNR program, and helping clean up cat colonies throughout our community. We are trying to stop the cycle while still caring for the animals who need us right now.

But we cannot do it alone.

WE NEED ADOPTIONS. 🏡🐾

Please help us spread the word. Share our adoptable animals. Tell your friends, family, coworkers and neighbors. If you have been thinking about adopting, now is the time.

Every animal that goes into a forever home opens a space for another animal waiting for our help.

We love what we do, and we will continue fighting for the homeless animals of Moore County—but our little rescue is stretched to its limits once again.

🐾 ADOPT. SHARE. SPAY. NEUTER. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL RESCUE.

Together, we can keep making a difference. ❤️

🐾 EVERYONE MEET BUCKSHOT! 🐾

Today, we welcomed a very special young man into the Friends of Animals family. ❤️

Meet Buckshot.

Buckshot was found in a backyard tied to a tree. When the Sheriff’s Department called us needing help, there was no question—we jumped into action.

And let us tell you…this boy is an absolute sweetheart. 🥹❤️

Buckshot appears to be a Treeing Hound mix, complete with the cutest little nub tail! He LOVES belly scratches, ear scratches, and leaning his whole body into you like he’s known you forever. He just wants to be close to someone and soak up all the love he can get.

Now it’s our turn to show Buckshot what life is supposed to be like.

Over the next couple of weeks, he will be:
🐾 Neutered
💉 Vaccinated
🐾 Microchipped
🩺 Heartworm and tick-disease tested
💊 Dewormed and started on preventatives
❤️ Given all the veterinary care he needs

He’s also a little on the thin side, so we’re going to get this handsome boy some groceries and put a little meat on those bones! 🍗🥩

Once Buckshot is healthy, vetted, and ready, he will be looking for his forever family.

We are SO excited to watch this boy begin a brand-new chapter—one where he knows what it feels like to have a warm bed, a full belly, gentle hands, and a family who loves him.

Because Buckshot deserves to be somebody’s best friend—not somebody’s yard ornament. ❤️

Welcome to Friends of Animals, Buckshot. Your journey starts now. 🐾🏡

Stay tuned for updates on this sweet boy!
