We’re stocked up at the Lynchburg Community Market today 🍄

Fresh Shiitake, Lion’s Mane, Blue Oyster and Pink Oyster, plus tinctures, grow kits, dried mushrooms, mushroom coffee, powders, seasonings and handmade real Reishi earrings.

We’ve been working on the booth quite a bit lately too. New displays, more information, and plenty of mushroom stuff to check out and ask us about.

A little behind the scenes of market day 🍄

Pink oysters in the tent, substrate and grain everywhere, van loaded up, and then set up at Rivermont earlier this week.

Gardeners! We’ve got another pile of spent mushroom blocks and mushroom compost if anybody is looking for some.

Our spent blocks are made from hardwood sawdust and soy hulls. They’ve already produced mushrooms, but they’re still loaded with organic matter and fungal biomass. They’re awesome for mixing into garden beds, compost piles, around fruit trees, or anywhere you want to build healthier soil. They’ll keep breaking down over time and feed all the good microbes in your soil.

The compost pile is the same material that’s been allowed to break down even further, so it’s ready to use right away.

Spent blocks are $2 each or 10 for $15.
Compost is $10 per 5 gallon bucket

Pickup only in Evington.

We stay stocked with these pretty much all year, so if you ever need spent blocks or compost just shoot us a message. We hate seeing good organic material go to waste when it can help somebody grow better vegetables.

Cleaning the tent, filling it back up with fresh blocks, getting work done, and checking out an indigo milk cap one of my employees found and brought in.

Big shoutout to my employees. Couldn’t do all this alone, and I’m really thankful for everything they put into helping Hill City Mushrooms grow. 🍄
