🐾 What’s the Difference Between a Bi and Tri Australian Shepherd? 🐾
It’s actually pretty simple!
🐶 Bi (Bicolor): These Aussies have two colors, usually black or red with white, or merle with white. They don’t have the copper/tan points.
🐶 Tri (Tricolor): These Aussies have three colors: black or red, white, and copper/tan markings, usually above the eyes, on the cheeks, legs, and sometimes under the tail.
💙 Blue Merle and Red Merle describe a marbled coat pattern, not the number of colors by themselves. A merle can be a bi or a tri, depending on whether they have those copper points!
Both are beautiful Australian Shepherds. The difference is simply the color and markings of their coats! ❤️🐾
