In 2019, inspired by meditation cushions and my disdain for most pet beds in the market, I started purchasing dead stock textiles and yardage remnants and began testing out fill materials for the most ideal loft for comfort, non-toxicity, and durability as I ventured into Pet Poufs alongside my interior design business. It always made sense to me that our pet beds shouldn’t be a dirty, greige, uninspired blight in an otherwise joyous and lovely space and sooooo many of my clients have multiple animals, so I encountered innumerable uninspired pet beds throughout their homes, as well as my own. And my own pets and friends’ pets were the veritable testers of these early Pet Pouf days and they were beloved from the start, thankfully!

In recent years, I’ve moved Pet Poufs’ production from LA to a small group of incredible women in Arizona and over the past six years since PP’s inception, I’ve come across sub-par dupes (some of which are “designed in Europe but made in China”) too many times to count. But there’s nothing like the integrity of something made by human hands (hands that are ethically compensated for their labor) and designed by someone putting in the tangible work with a true passion and sourcing the materials exclusively for their beauty, pattern, sustainability, and longevity.

(PS : this Ramona Pet Pouf is four years old and still thriving.)

The Declan Pet Pouf is new to the collection and was named for a sweet goofball saved by Los Angeles’ rescue group and adopted by one of the best dog moms in the City of Angels.

This design will stay in the collection online until it’s sold out. 😘

Happy Christmas and New Year from two of our founder’s four rescue dogs, all of whom have influenced the genesis of Pet Poufs.

This passion project began in 2019 and truthfully then went quite quiet as the interior design projects took over and time and energy was devoted to running the design business and its team. In the interim, there have been a few internal adjustments here at PP in regards to production and shipping and there’s been a fair amount of duplicates of our design since our inception BUT we will always pride ourselves on the high quality of our materials and the limited edition nature of our designs.

New designs to come in 2025! And thank you forever and ever for your support of this small business. We love you and your pets!!! ❤️
