You can hate all you want but we're always team sand ❤️

Bare bottom = easy cleaning, more flow, less waste build-up.

Substrate = more natural look, supports plant roots, adds extra surface for beneficial bacteria.

This doesn't just go for Koi this goes for all fish in general. You can always move fish onto large tanks but if possible it is better to move them well before they hit maturity

Bigger the tank bigger the potential especially if you're spending big money on koi.

Having trouble breeding aquatic shrimp? Do this......

Or even better don't do this. Don't play with your tank don't touch it too much keep your hands out and let the babies live.

Keeping heaps of hiding spots and keeping the bottom dwellers at bay we'll explode your shrimp population. Especially if you do other little things such as keeping your flow rate low and feeding fine powder with little bits of algae they can mow up.

After a few months you'll see your shrimp population bursting at the seams.
