We truly appreciate everyone who is trying to help bring awareness, locate information, and support the dogs & animals connected to this case. The amount of community support has meant a lot.

However, because this group is being managed by individuals directly involved in this case and because this page is actively being followed by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Detectives we are asking that all information, updates, records, photos, and discussions remain centralized within this group whenever possible.

Please do not create additional Facebook groups using our information, logos, screenshots, or photos posted within this page without permission. Keeping information in one location helps prevent confusion, misinformation, duplicated reports, and missed updates.

take a look at these precious faces. these resilient rescue dogs would LOVE your support today for ‘sunday supper’ 🍽️

what is sunday supper? on sundays, we ask this wonderful community to help us keep rescue bellies full by donating just $11.

all of the dogs we take into our rescue organization are ‘at-risk’, meaning they come from shelter euthanasia lists or the streets.

for some reason, each dog you see here was given up on by their previous family.

some of these dogs are young. some are seniors. they all have one thing in common: they almost lost their lives and had to completely start over, at no fault of their own.

truly, we just feel blessed they are safe. and though we can’t change their pasts, we absolutely can change their futures together 🫶

please help us give these dogs the second chances they so deserve 🙏

we rescued zeus from a euthanasia list at a so cal animal shelter.

he was initially found by animal control, wandering the streets, with terrible skin & an extra large mass on his groin.

after being taken to the shelter, he waited for his family to claim him. when that never happened, he was listed as “available to adopt”.

like so many other bully breeds in so cal shelters, zeus was eventually moved to the dreaded “euthanasia list” 😔

too many dogs and owner surrenders. not enough kennels or adopters. 💔

us stumbling upon zeus was a true miracle. but once we knew he existed, we were sure we would be coming back for him.

we are so glad that we did. zeus is stunning. he’s the type of dog that makes you do a double take.

he is also the perfect representation of a “misunderstood” dog. on the exterior he looks tough, with his 95 lbs of muscle, cropped ears, and huge head.

but inside? zeus is a gentle giant. a massive baby filled with affection and love 💗

he is powerful, intelligent and fiercely loyal💪

sadly zeus was not taken care of previously as he should have been 😞

his medical care was severely neglected. now we have been left to pick up the pieces 🥺

if you believe that zeus deserves a “second chance” please do him a favor, and interact with his post 💕

the more ppl who know he exists, the better. he needs all hands on deck to help him power through 🏥

and he’s off! 🥳 big boy zeus is headed to the vet! we are getting a second opinion on his extra gnarly groin mass 😞

we have a cancer plan in place to follow for 45-90 days first. using different meds and supplements in order to essentially “kill off” the tumor.

the mass is in such a sensitive area where there are so many blood vessels. it’s so important to do this the right away, otherwise removal of the tumor just means it’s going to grow right back, or worse.

we really are so excited to see how things transpire and have heard a lot of success stories from using the methods we will try.

we want the mass to essentially unattach from the cell wall. there’s a lot of daily steps to follow and specific times we have to give the meds/supplements at. it’s a whole ordeal!

we are so excited to do this for zeus and so grateful for amazing people in this community who offer up their guidance and support during these scary, unknown times.

we are going to post a zeus wishlist to stories and would appreciate you checking out this big headed boys wants + needs! 💖

walker is a rescue pitty saved from the euth list at downey animal care 🩶

he is such a good boy. i truly tear up just thinking about what a sweet and misunderstood pup he is 🥺

walker was an owner surrender at the shelter. while there he was labeled “rescue-only”, meaning only a partnered 501c3 org could save him.

at the time of his surrender, his old owner said walker bit his teenage daughters hand when she was giving him chicken.

we don’t know these dogs histories. it’s impossible to completely understand their past lives and all the intricacies of specific situations.

something about walker really hit home. he looked so sad and defeated. he was not showing well in his kennel due to stress, and he had lost a bunch of weight.

we ended up taking a chance on him and are so glad we did, bc he’s an incredible dog.

he actually is partially blind. you can imagine how a shelter and sudden changes would be extra confusing for him.

he’s has always been extremely gentle with me, bc he is my little bestie.

his overall demeanor is super sweet, mellow, happy, and lowkey.

he does have some triggers involving unknown people, and males, specifically when he feels “cornered” though he’s gotten much better over time.

he is the type of dog that bonds so much to his handler. he really connected with me right off the bat which is very sweet 🥹

we love him so much are so happy he is here today.

seeing him carefree, and loving life means everything 🫶

🎀 hi sweet nala! 👋😍 - about nala’s health issues: basically she’s got a whole lot of liver inflammation.

the vet says it’s secondary inflammation, meaning that it’s a reaction to something else happening in her body. 🧐

we have been doing tests and trying to sort out the reason behind it so she can feel and show up every day as her very best self! 💪

nala deserves the world! we truly love this precious beautiful girl more than words can say. all we want is for her to healthy and happy. 😊

nala is staying with us for the time being. she arrived late monday evening 🫶

having her over for a mini staycation is like having rainbows, sunshine, and unicorns surround you at all times.

she’s literally truly MAGICAL! 🦄 🌈 ✨💖

🌷she loves to🌷:
🛌☀️ lounge on her dog bed in the sun
🥾🌲explore (she’s not over the top active- in fact, she’s a great middle ground)
🏡💖 be at home (or surrounded by) her people

she’s easy. happy. simple.

even our “spiciest” 🌶️ dogs here can’t get enough of nala, which always makes me laugh.

we have some feisty 😈(yet incredible 🤪) girls that are not a fan of any other females on-site. but nala? somehow she gets a VIP hall pass 🏆🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

she’s the dog everyone loves. just a fan favorite all around. 🥰💯

she is only here temporarily, and will be headed back home 🏡 soon, so we are soaking up every possible moment of nala while we can! 🩷🩵
