Cat’s Meow hasn’t even opened its doors yet, and this tiny kitten was left on our doorstep.

Thankfully, rescue isn’t new to us. Through our partnership with Animal Rescue Alliance & Farm Sanctuary we’re seasoned rescuers. We know that rescue rarely happens when it’s convenient, and we’re always prepared to step in when a life needs saving.

Last night, that life was this little one.

We don’t know yet how this kitten will fare, but for now he/she is safe, warm, being cared for.

This is the reality of rescue. There is always another animal who needs help, another emergency no one planned for and another unexpected expense that comes with saying YES to saving a life.

When funds allow, we’ll also be installing a security system at Cat’s Meow so our storefront can be monitored for exactly this reason. We may not be able to stop someone from abandoning an animal, but we can do everything possible to make sure one is never left outside unnoticed.

We keep coming back to the same thought:

We weren’t supposed to be there. But we were.❤️

If you’d like to help TARA continue saying YES to kittens like this one, please consider making a donation. Every dollar helps with food, medical care, supplies and the unexpected emergencies that come through our doors.

DONATE:

And please share. Sometimes helping save the next life is as simple as getting their story in front of the right person.
