Wow…but Rover’s professionalism and lack of accountability has been a problem for many years. Seems it got worse after it was acquired by Blackstone. You see, Rover has never been a pet care entity. They are first a tech company and marketplace. That’s what pet owners need to realize. While it may be a quick, and sometimes cheaper option, you’re often not leaving your pet in the care of pet professionals.
So sorry to the families who lost their precious fur babies 🙏🏾
Several Bay Area dog owners are in shock, angry and, in some cases, grieving. They're trying to make sense of a case that started with the hiring of a dog sitter from one of the most trusted service apps, Rover. One of its approved dog sitters is at the center of a police investigation after at least two dog deaths and reports of abuse.
