Another beautiful soul languishing in boarding who was abandoned by a "rescue" we sponsored through March. He is still there and needs out. Please share. These dogs cannot sustain this. They will break.

Finn has not had a SINGLE INQUIRY! Only the occasional check-in from previous volunteers to see how he's doing. He has been failed in so many ways and desperately needs a single person to rely on, not a group of volunteers being stretched thin trying to get everyone the enrichment and love they deserve!
Finn is truly a special dog that has had the unfortunate circumstance of being tossed from shelter to rescue to trapped in boarding and then abandoned once again. He was sponsored through March by . He is a 5 year old male neutered pitbull. Finn absolutely loves to play. He goes crazy for squeaky toys as well as ropes. Trust is very important to him but once he is comfortable with you he truly is an absolute love bug. He truly is looking for reassurance and love. He's a big boy with a big heart. He's very polite with good leash manners and will ask for things like Pets and attention. He knows how to sit, paw, lay down, place, and has started muzzle conditioning. He's very food motivated and takes food well from your hands. He may slobber but that's okay! He has a history of resource guarding especially toys so an experienced and savvy dog owner is key to foster or adopt Finn. He needs time, patience, and compassion. He has done well on side by side walks but needs slow introductions and time with new dogs. Commitment to things like hand feeding, follow up training (Rescue provided), taking time building a relationship is absolutely crucial for an amazing dog like Finn.
