Let's teach your dog to walk on a leash nicely....​Position: Put your dog on a leash at your left side. Hold treats in your left hand right at your hip.
​Lure & Step: Say "Heel," take two steps forward, and use the treat to keep their nose glued to your knee.
​Reward: Mark with "Yes!" and reward immediately while they walk in position.
​Build Duration: Gradually add more steps before treating (3 steps, then 5, then 10). If they forge ahead or pull, stop moving, reset them to your side, and repeat. Keep sessions short and upbeat.
