🐾 MEET FIN! ❤️🐶
Male • Approximately 6–7 months old

This adorable young Lab-mix boy is growing up fast and discovering just how much fun life can be!

Fin is sweet, playful, full of tail wags, and loves wrestling with his buddy Bella. He's entering his goofy teenage stage and learning that not every dog wants to play quite as enthusiastically as he does!

Fin has recently started barking and growling at dogs approaching his kennel, so he'll need continued socialization and patient, positive training.

Male • Approximately 1 year old

Sammy's story began with a short chain and very little freedom. Now he's discovering the joy of affection, cuddles, and having someone who cares about him.

This handsome young boy has a playful spirit and a softer side that comes out when he feels safe. He's looking for a patient, experienced adopter who will give him time to build trust and continue learning.

Sammy is currently reactive toward unfamiliar people and other dogs, especially around fences, so a calm, carefully matched home is important.

This handsome boy has enough energy and personality to fill an entire house! Max is learning that kisses and cuddles are even better than jumping for attention, and he's making progress every day.

He's looking for an active, patient family that can help him master his leash manners and channel all that puppy enthusiasm into adventures and fun! Max is reactive toward other male dogs and would be best considered for a home without them.

Here at Southern Paws Northern Hearts Animal Rescue, Inc., we’ve been working hard to give these beautiful souls a second chance at life. Each has a different story, a different personality, and the same dream: a loving family to call their own.

🐕 LUCY — Our loyal, loving girl who wants nothing more than her favorite humans, plenty of affection, and a good game of fetch! 🎾

🐕 LILY — Our tennis-ball-obsessed superstar! If you’ve got a ball and a throwing arm, Lily is ready to be your best friend! 🎾😂

🐕 BELLA — Our beautiful, athletic adventurer who’s dreaming of a life filled with exercise, excitement, and freedom beyond kennel walls!

🐕 FIN — Our sweet, goofy youngster with a wagging tail, a playful spirit, and a whole lifetime of love left to give! 🐶

These dogs have different personalities, energy levels, and training needs. Some will need experienced, patient adopters and carefully selected homes. We’re committed to finding the right match for each one.

URGENT MEDICAL SPONSOR NEEDED FOR FIN 🐾❤️‍🩹

Our newest puppy, Fin, needs veterinary care urgently. Fin came to Southern Paws Northern Hearts with severe skin irritation and relentless itching. He has scratched his front legs until he has created large, painful open wounds, and he is now crying as he tries to scratch them again. We have temporarily protected the areas from further injury, but Fin needs more than we can provide at the rescue—he needs a veterinarian.

Fin is also experiencing persistent watery diarrhea, and because he’s a young rescue puppy with an unknown medical history, he needs an examination, parasite testing and whatever additional diagnostics and treatment the veterinarian recommends.

Despite how uncomfortable he is, Fin is an incredibly sweet little boy. He has already made friends with the other dogs and wants to play and enjoy being a puppy. We desperately want to get him comfortable enough to do exactly that.

We need a medical sponsor—or several people willing to contribute toward Fin’s care—so we can get him seen as quickly as possible. Donations will go toward his veterinary examination, testing, wound/skin treatment and medications prescribed for him.

Even $5, $10 or $20 helps us get closer to getting this little guy the care he needs. If you can’t donate, please share Fin’s post. Someone in your friends list may be the person who can help him. ❤️

Anyone missing this little man? older boy, thinning hair, neutered, came running barking trying to jump in the car when we turned on 959 from 43 Marshall/Tatum, approached people, takes treats and water and petting, no collar… in the picnic area there.

***** UPDATE 9/14/26 ** Clyde is no longer available for adoption. Fin, however, the white 5-6mo old puppy IS SEEKING ADOPTION and is in URGENT need of veterinary care, seeking sponsors for his care now! ******

Fin and Clyde are in need of a new loving home!! They have been living together and would be great if they could stay a pair, but do not necessarily have to stay together. Fin is a 5-mo retriever mix. Both males. Both boys are sweethearts, socialized, and do very well with others. They will chill and lay around with kittens, puppies, and older dogs alike, very friendly. Clyde, the older male, is great with people, adults and children, just non-stop tail-wagging for loves from everyone. Reason for re-homing: owner needs them to be separated from poultry! No other complaints! Please consider these boys in your loving family! 🙏 Thank you!
