Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful end to your week.

At Wag Worthy Pet Grooming, my commitment to pets goes far beyond delivering top-quality grooming and supporting your dog’s overall health. I also care deeply about animal welfare on a broader scale—specifically advocate for the safety, protection, and humane treatment of animals subjected to testing and abuse every day. Thank you for being a part of a community that values compassion as much as quality care. Every choice you make at the store is a vote for the kind of world you want to live in. Every year, millions of animals endure unnecessary suffering for cosmetic and household product testing. But here is the good news: you have the power to help end it, and taking action is easier than you think. I have posted a link at the bottom to my events tab on my website!

You don’t have to overturn entire systems overnight to make a real difference. Real change happens through small, everyday decisions.

How You Can Take Action Today

Vote with your wallet: Next time you are buying shampoo, toothpaste, makeup, or cleaning supplies, check the label. Choosing brands that do not test on animals directly cuts off financial support for animal testing.
Look for trusted certifications: Scan packaging for recognized cruelty-free logos like the Leaping Bunny or PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies.
Check before you shop: Use quick online directories like Logical Harmony, Cruelty-Free Kitty, or Leaping Bunny to look up your favorite brands before hitting the checkout aisle.
Speak up: Encourage your friends and family to make the switch, and send quick messages to your favorite companies letting them know you only support cruelty-free products.
When we choose compassion over convenience, brands pay attention. Get out there, do your part, and let’s put an end to animal cruelty together.

🐱 Think Your Cat’s Self-Grooming Is Enough? You Might Be Surprised!

Hey cat parents! While our feline friends are famous for their grooming habits, did you know their tongues can’t always get rid of all the dirt, loose fur, and bits of debris hiding in their coats? Often, they just move things around rather than remove them.

That’s why adding regular brushing to your cat’s care routine is a smart move—just like you would with a pup! Here’s what a few minutes of brushing can do:

✅ Shinier, healthier coats.** Brushing clears away trapped dirt and loose hair, while spreading natural oils for a glossy, soft look.

✅ Less shedding & fewer hairballs. Help your kitty avoid nasty tangles and reduce the amount of hair they swallow, especially if they have long fur.

✅ Quality bonding time. Brushing isn’t just practical—it’s a sweet way to connect and show your cat some extra TLC.

Just a few brushing sessions a week can keep your cat happier, healthier, and your home fur-free. Grab a gentle cat brush and see the difference!

Drop a 🐾 below if your kitty loves their brushing sessions—or if they turn it into a comedy show!** 😂 Give it a try—your cat (and your couch) will appreciate it!

The Doggy Thumbprint

Starting the week with a little nosey fact! 👃

Did you know that a dog’s nose print is completely unique, just like a human fingerprint? No two pups have the same pattern!
At Wag Worthy, we get to know every unique snout that walks through our doors. Happy Monday! 🐾

Sweating It Out

Saturdays are for playing hard! ☀️ But remember to keep your pups cool. Dogs don't sweat through their skin like we do; they only sweat through their paw pads! Their main way of cooling down is panting.
With the weekend fun in full swing, make sure your pet gets plenty of shade, water, and a fresh, deshedding blowout at Wag Worthy to stay cool and comfortable! 🐶💦

The Left-Pawed Pup!

TGIF! Let’s talk about "pawedness" this Friday. 🐾 Just like humans can be righty or lefty, dogs can have a preferred paw! Studies show that while many dogs are ambidextrous, about half lean toward being left-pawed or right-pawed.
Test it out this weekend: see which paw your dog uses first to give a high five! Let us know in the comments below! 👇

🌪️ Ever wonder why your dog turns into a furry, 100-mph missile the second they get out of the tub?

It's not just them celebrating their escape from the water dungeon (though that's definitely part of it). It turns out there is actually some wild science behind the "FRAP" — Frequent Random Zoomie Periods!

🧠 The Mind-Blowing Fact of the Day:

The FRAP/Zoomies are actually a massive emotional release.
When dogs get wet, their instinct is to shake off to prevent hypothermia. But the sensation of being wet, soapy, and then towel-dried creates a mountain of sensory input and anxiety. When they finally break free, all that pent-up stress explodes into pure, chaotic energy. They are quite literally running it off!

Plus, let's be honest... they are frantically trying to rub our expensive lavender shampoo scent off onto your clean living room rug. 😅

🧼 Our Promise to Your Speedster:

We can't promise they won't zoom when they get home, but we can promise to make their spa time so cozy and positive that they spend less time stressing and more time enjoying the pampering.

We deal with the suds, the shakes, and the flying fur so your bathroom stays a disaster-free zone.
