A little late but here is what happened at fair with Macy and her rabbits this year. Started off with showmanship on the first day. The kids at her level are all amazing and the competition is tight so to place in the top 5 is a real accomplishment. Macy got done and said “ I feel like I did really good, if I do not get at least 4th I am never showing showmanship again.” As it turned out she won with a score of 99 out of 100. So she was right, she did REALLY good.
She won a gorgeous turquoise buckle

Next day was the rabbit show. Started with the breed classes where she won both Best of Breed and Best Opposite breed with her Hollands. Also won Best Californian with her intermediate buck, that same buck went on to win the fur class against all breeds
The Market classes were next where she won every single class but one and was 2nd in that. Finished with the overall Market Grand champion., received another absolutely beautiful turquoise buckle.

At the end of the week was the jr livestock auction where her rabbit was sold to Valley Nisson. She was blessed with that and the amount of add ons that followed.

The final day she was presented with the herdsman award. Which goes to the person that was the most helpful over the past week during the fair. That was unexpected but so fun. She received a golden engraved broom and dustpan. So cool

Overall it was a great rabbit fair, and excited for next year.

We had lots of fun at the CARS show this past weekend. Been a while since we were able to go to a show. All of our Srs are molting so both Macy and I brought a bunch of juniors. Macy did well, ended up with a few class wins and a BOSB with her broken black doe. I ended up with a few class wins, lots of 2nds and a couple BOV and BOSV. All babies so pleased with that.
Looking forward to the next one

It was a very busy past couple with the Californians . Macy only has one super nice Californian buck left as all the others, bucks and does have found homes.
Thank you all for supporting her and her market project. This was her first year raising her own and it was a success! Congratulations to all the new owners. Look forward to hearing how they do for you
Thank you Addison Vogel for her new additions and trusting her with “Randy”. That trio is going to take her to the next level.
Next year should be a great one!

This is always a fun time of year…Not. Seems like it is happening earlier than usual. Some of our Hollands have better breaks then the lionheads right now

Before I start I just want to say for those of you that don’t know me please message me directly with questions or concerns

For those of you that do know me and our rabbits please leave a comment after reading. Thank you in advance

This is an x-ray of a Californian doe of my daughters that I sold with a spinal condition that I am extremely upset that I missed it but things happen, I did, and here we are.

I sold this doe to Phoenix Wilder. She is now starting her journey of trying to bad mouth me with untrue statements and missing facts. Slander and defamation and all that come to mind but for now I just want to shut it down from the start as I have nothing to hide
(One of her comments will be posted in my comments for reference)

A little background:
This doe is 1 year old and had just weaned her first litter of 10 babies a few weeks ago where she was totally fine and hopping around in a 10x10 foot stall with them. She was also shown as a Jr with no issues detected. We then weaned her babies on July 24th and she was put back in her cage (just fine) where she has been since this incident.

Timeline and facts:

1. Sold on Tuesday September 1- yes she was underweight and out of condition but i chalked it off to 10 babies taking it out of her ,which happens with large litters, and relayed that. During this time i was getting phone calls, getting cages delivered , getting distracted and yes i missed the spine issue.
However, when she left I went and checked when the babies were actually weaned . Time goes so fast and it had been longer then I had thought so
Within 2-3 minutes of her leaving I was on the phone with her explaining it had been longer then I thought and I was not comfortable with her current condition and said I would feel better if she turned around and brought her back so that could see what was going on.
She said she wanted to take her and if she was not back in condition in a month we could talk. I said are your sure , expressed again my concerns and she said YES.
Later that night she sent a pic of her out in her yard said she had not ate or drank at that point. I mentioned it could be stress from travel and to give a water bowl instead of bottle.

2. Wednesday September 2 -she messaged saying she was still not eating or drinking she expressed concerns of her not being show quality. I expressed not at the moment but when she got back into condition. She was shown as a jr and did well
Mentioned my son could meet her on Friday to pick her up if she was not happy with her and we had a very promising younger doe if she was interested

She then sent another message the same day saying she could barely walk. “WHAT”!! Was my response I said I can leave in an hour and head your way and pick her up (2 hour drive). Sent a few of these as i would need to leave soon but no response so I called her. Said I could head her way right away and pick her up and take her to my vet. Her exact words were
“NO MADAM!!!! You will not be getting this rabbit back.” Followed by a bunch of rude and accusing comments and a hang up

3. Thursday September 3- 48 hours after having rabbit. Sends a message she is in the emergency room
Next message said “Let’s discuss bill!!!”
I asked to see the vet report
Got no vet report just copy of the bill followed by demand of payment
Asked again for vet report
She sent demand for payment and x-ray and still have not seen vet report

Responses to her accusations:

1. The bill - I asked her to bring the rabbit back immediately after she left and she said no. I wanted to drive to her house and pick her up and take to my vet and she said Absolutely NO!!!
Enough said

2. Saying she has a severe spinal deformity- interesting since that would be hereditary and not man made as she was accusing me of harming her. And can show up at any stage of life so…

3. The skin condition she said she has is a dime size partial bald spot behind her ears only

4. She was dehydrated- she had her for 48 hours before going to a vet? She kept her outside and we had her inside with a fan. We all know how hot it has been

5. She also had sore hocks which she did not mention in the comment below but hearing she did elsewhere. Unfortunately sore hocks can happen to any rabbit with a wire bottom cage and Expecially with large breed rabbits because that is a lot of weight. Yes we have cage Matt’s in there, which she is denying seeing, but they are there and it can still happen. We put blue kote on if it happens. She seen where it was treated before because her fur was purple and I treated again while she was holding her before she left. It’s the best we can do as we do not have the luxury of keeping them in the yard on the soft ground with all the predators.

If you are still reading after all this just know I am a very honest, ethical, trustworthy and take pride in our rabbits and what we have accomplished. We strive to raise healthy, happy, quality rabbits to the SOP.
Sometimes life gets in the way and things are missed

I owned it, tried to fix it, and she said NO
Just pay my bill !!!
