A big happy 1st birthday to Ozark!! 🩵

When I got Ozark I had specific goals and things I wanted to do with him and unfortunately he just did not end up having the drive for certain things the way I had hoped so our goals together definitely shifted as time went on. This was a hard thing for me to come to terms with but we’ve been able to accomplish very high level obedience and do some pretty cool things together over the last 10 months! He has definitely been a challenge and has kept me on my toes and continues to do so but I love him and all his naughty tendencies🤣

Im proud of the dog you’re becoming and everything we’ve accomplished thus far with your training and can’t wait to see what else you can do! Love you buddy🐾🫶

This is a short before and after of us working thru the anxiety with his “place” command.
The overall purpose of this command is to give your dog a clear, reliable spot to settle so they can practice calm behavior. With his anxiety, self soothing was a struggle for him and he’d much prefer to velcro himself to a human as a “safety net” which only fuels the separation anxiety more as he is fully dependent on us to comfort him.
You can see the transformation in how it started to how it is when he goes to his ‘place’ now. May not seem like much but for him it really is huge.🥹🤎
