Spring cleaning isn’t just for closets: your locks could use a quick refresh after winter too.

DIY lock care (takes 5 minutes):
1) Wipe down your door hardware with a microfiber cloth (grime builds up fast).
2) Add a SMALL puff of graphite lubricant to the keyway (avoid oily sprays: they can attract dirt).
3) Insert the key and turn it a few times to work it in.
4) Check screws on the knob/deadbolt and tighten if anything feels wiggly.
5) Test your deadbolt: if it sticks, your door may be slightly out of alignment from weather changes.
