Hello. I’m Myia. 🐾

Before we begin, I would like to clear something up.

Moose says he’s the boss of the nursery.

He is mistaken.

When I came here, I had a nasty injury behind my ear from a botfly. Everyone thought I’d be up and walking normally before long. I had other plans.

I still wobble when I walk.

I wobble when I run.

Sometimes I wobble when I’m standing still.

I don’t care.

I also might not see the world quite the same way as everyone else. One of my eyes may not work as well as it should. The humans aren’t completely sure.

I don’t care about that either.

I know where my food is.
I know where my bed is.
And I know exactly where to find trouble.

The humans worry about me sometimes. I appreciate their concern, but I have important things to do.

I am sweet. I like snuggles. I like treats. I like being told I’m pretty.

But I am also very determined.

If I want a toy, I will get the toy.

If I want your bed, it is now my bed.

If I want attention, I will continue asking until everyone agrees this is the correct decision.

There was a time when I didn’t quite fit in.

The other kittens had their brothers and sisters, and I was kind of doing my own thing. I was okay, but sometimes being okay isn’t the same as belonging.

Then Mylo showed up.

I didn’t have a brother until I found Mylo.

We don’t have the same mama, but he’s my brother anyway.

Now we’re a team.

We wrestle, play, explore, and take naps together. If you see one of us, the other one is probably nearby. Life got a lot better when Mylo came along.

The nursery is my kingdom. The kittens know it. The humans know it. Even Moose knows it, although he may deny these facts publicly.

But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that life is better when you have someone by your side.

For me, that’s Mylo.

I’m very thankful for everyone who helps take care of us. Food, litter, blankets, toys, treats, and all the love we get help us keep growing and thriving.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to make my rounds and make sure everything in my kingdom is exactly as it should be.

Love,

Myia 🐾

Hi! I’m Mouse! 🐾

I’m 8 weeks old, and I’m the littlest one. And the cutest!

Everybody says I’m tiny. I say everyone else is just extra big.

I’m the runt, and I’m built a little differently than the other kittens. The humans think I might have something going on with my heart, but nobody is completely sure yet.

The good news is that I recently had a growth spurt, and I’ve been feeling a little better. The humans are very excited about this. They think I might grow out of some of my problems.

The humans keep telling me to rest and take it easy.

I think this is a terrible plan.

Moose and Weasel get to wrestle and play, and I would very much like to join them. Unfortunately, I have been placed under unfair princess protection rules.

I do occasionally sneak out to visit them when nobody is looking.

Don’t tell anyone.

I never get away with it for very long.

Even though I’m little, I have a very important job. Every day I work hard at growing bigger, getting stronger, and proving everyone wrong.

I’ll probably need another vet checkup soon so the humans can keep an eye on my heart and make sure I’m heading in the right direction. If anyone would like to help with my care, my humans and I would be very grateful.

I’m still growing.

I’m still trying.

And I’m not giving up.

Not even a little bit.

Love,

Mouse 🐾

Hi. I’m Weasel. 🐾

Yesterday was Moose’s turn. Today it’s mine.

And yes, I know I look a little scraggly.

I’m working on it.

I had a rough start. There were a couple of times when everyone worried about me, and for a while I wasn’t very strong. But I kept growing, one tiny step at a time.

Now I can hold my own just fine.

Sometimes I can even give Moose a what-for.

I’m 8 weeks old now.

I was the first one to get a name. When I was tiny, I had a long little body, a teeny tiny head, and apparently I looked a lot like a baby weasel. That’s how all the pet names started.

I was also a very fussy baby.

Very fussy.

If I was hungry, I yelled. If I was cold, I yelled. If I was unhappy about absolutely anything, I yelled.

To be fair, I usually had a good reason.

I’ve always liked to sit and watch things. While everybody else is busy doing kitten things, I like to observe. My eyes are a little different than everyone else’s, so maybe that’s why I notice everything.

These days, I’m getting stronger all the time.

I like wrestling with Moose. Well… mostly.

Sometimes I act like he’s absolutely destroying me. I am very dramatic.

Then, when he’s not expecting it, I make him holler too.

I spend a lot of time with my sister Mouse. She likes company, and I like keeping her company. Sometimes she needs a quiet friend more than a wrestling partner.

Myia and Mylo are nice, but they are a LOT of kitten. Moose can deal with all that excitement. I’ll be over here supervising from a comfortable blanket.

We’re very thankful for everyone who helps take care of us. Because of you, we get the time we need to grow, learn, play, and become who we’re meant to be.

Also, if anyone would like to contribute to my blanket collection, I would consider that a very wise decision.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some observing to do.

Love,

Hi! I’m Moose! 🐾

I’m 8 weeks old now. That’s a lot of weeks if you’re a kitten.

I live in the nursery with my sisters, Weasel and Mouse, and my buddies, Myia and Mylo. We’re my crew.

My sisters and I had a rough start. We were pretty scrawny little babies, and every day was hard work. But now we’re starting to do normal kitten things like playing, wrestling, climbing, and causing trouble.

And I am VERY good at causing trouble.

I LOVE it here. There are snuggles. There are kisses. There are cozy beds. There are toys. There is food. Lots of important kitten things.

My favorite food is Sheba kitten food. I could eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, second dinner, and snack time.

Mylo is my best friend. We do very important wrestling practice together. Someone has to keep the nursery in shape.

My sister Weasel is getting stronger every day. Now she can keep up with me when we wrestle. Most of the time, anyway.

Mouse is still a tiny little princess. She has her own special spot where she stays safe while she grows. I like to check on her. Supervising is part of being the boss.

We’re really happy here, and we’re really thankful for everyone who sends us goodies. Because of you, we get extra time to grow, extra time to play, and extra time to become the best kittens we can be.

The nursery can always use more kitten food, litter, blankets, toys, and treats. My vote is for more Sheba. As boss, my vote should count extra.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have naps to take, food to eat, and very important kitten business to attend to.

Love,

Moose 🐾

P.S. If a case of Sheba accidentally showed up, I certainly wouldn’t complain.
