Did Boo's first progesterone test. She's still real low. We are estimating that she will ovulate around the end of next week. Her progesterone will spike and that's how we know she's ovulating.

We do the progesterone testing ourselves every other day. It was a spendy machine and supplies to purchase but it takes the guesswork out of when to breed. The stud owner requires it to be done.

If all goes well we should be meeting up with the stud next week. He lives about 2 hours away. We will go there twice. Hoping that they will "fall in love" easily.

This will be Boo's first tie since we have only done ai so far with her. That was so expensive and time consuming using the fertility clinic. Driving 4 hours round trip to get the stud, 2 hours round trip to the clinic x 7-9 times plus the c section. So we are going to try the old fashioned way. 🤞🏼

We use pine pellets in the potty tray. 😁

Vaccines....we will do our first set of vaccines at 6 weeks along with RX dewormer with our vet. I don't remember what they are off hand. I'll ask my vet.

We give dewormer here at 2,4,6 and 8 weeks. At 8 weeks it's a heart worm chew that we give them. Here we do year round flea and tick and heartworm preventative.

I will give you a vet record that has all the information on it. You'll need this for your flight.

Their second set of shots is around 9 weeks. Not sure how long it takes to get in to your vet but I'd call soon.

July 18th is the first available day for pick up through that weekend. I like to schedule at least half on the 18th and half on the 19th.

Really to "cut the cord". I just know I'll never see them again and I've been known to bawl when my favorite one goes.

The trip home. My BIGGEST suggestion is do not stop at wayside rests! Take the puppy somewhere that isn't likely to have dogs. Even if it's down a dirt road.

That's because your puppy won't be fully vaccinated and can pick up all kinds of things from the grass where other dogs went to the bathroom.

Also, the dog park is a big no no at this point. Not only can you pick up worms but diseases that will kill your puppy. We used to go to dog parks then we had a really bad experience. I'll post about that.

We won't feed the puppies on days they go home because we don't want them throwing up on the way home. Puppies do get car sick so we will limit their water intake also.

For those that are flying we won't feed them for 24 hours before your flight time. I'm sure you don't want a dog full of poo in a crate. If you want to send us your crate for the airport and air plane we can prepare your puppy by putting it in there when it gets closer to fly time. ✈️

Here's a puppy from our first litter....😍🐾

Boo is being such a great mama. She needs to lick them to make them go potty. She's an enthusiastic licker. She was licking one so hard that the poo was flipping back into her hair. 🤢 It's not all snuggles and puppy kisses. 😁♥️🐾

We do puppy picking at 6 weeks. It gives the owners a chance to get to know the puppies.

We go in order that people have contacted me and have put down the reservation fee.

Most owners don't know who to pick when the time comes and many have decided they like the markings on one of them or they liked a certain picture.

Their personality will start to show around 6-8 weeks.
