Meet Coco! 🐾

Coco is a beautiful Boston Terrier (possibly a mix) with a loving heart and a zest for life that's impossible to resist. At approximately 3 years old, she's the perfect blend of playful energy and affectionate cuddles.

Coco's story began with heartbreak. After her beloved owner suddenly passed away, she was surrendered to a high-kill shelter by family members who didn't keep her. Through no fault of her own, Coco found herself scared, confused, and at risk of losing everything she had ever known.

Thankfully, American Boston Terrier Rescue & Rehabilitation stepped in to give her a second chance.

Since coming into rescue, Coco has been spayed and has absolutely flourished in her foster home near Austin, Texas. With love, stability, and a safe place to land, her true personality has emerged, and what a wonderful girl she is!

Coco adores people and gets along great with other dogs and cats. She's happiest when she's chasing a ball, working on a favorite Nylabone, or curling up next to her humans for some quality cuddle time. Whether you're looking for a walking buddy, a playmate, or a professional snuggle partner, Coco is happy to fill the role.

She has no known special needs and is simply looking for what every dog deserves: a family who will love her forever.

After losing the person she loved most, Coco has shown incredible resilience and grace. Now she's ready to write her happy ending with a family who will treasure her for the amazing dog she is.

Nash is a ridiculously charming 4-year-old Boston Terrier/Boxer mix with a heart-melting underbite and a perfectly compact 30-pound frame. One look at that sweet face and you’ll understand why everyone falls for him instantly.

This affectionate little guy has undergone thorough allergy testing, and as a result, he requires a strict, specialized diet to stay healthy and comfortable, but the food he's eating is readily available at Walmart and is not very expensive. His allergies are extensive, so it’s essential that his new family is committed to maintaining his food regimen without exceptions. The good news? His cuddles, loyalty, and joyful personality more than make up for the extra care.

Nash is a social sweetheart who gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and other critters in his foster home. He’s also known to be gentle and friendly with children. His favorite things include car rides, snuggling close, supervised outdoor play, and long, cozy naps.

He does have a bit of a mischievous streak —
Nash is an escape artist, so he’ll need a secure yard with a solid fence.

He’s been known to scale chain link fences, so a 6-foot wooden privacy fence is strongly preferred to keep him safe and sound. He’s not one to be left alone for long stretches, so he’ll thrive in a home where someone is around during the day to play with him, let him out regularly, and give him the attention he craves.

If you’re looking for a mellow buddy who’s happy to lounge beside you but still enjoys a bit of social time and outdoor fun, Nash could be your perfect match.

He’s currently being fostered in Central Texas and is ready to meet the family who’ll love him just the way he is. Could that be you?

💝From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your generosity and support of American Boston Terrier Rescue & Rehabilitation's efforts to save Abby's life. Because of compassionate supporters like you, we've raised $563 so far, and every dollar brings us one step closer to covering the cost of the critical care she needed.

🏥 Abby's total veterinary bill, including credit card processing fees, came to $6,082.84. While we still have a long way to go, we are working hard to raise the funds needed to offset this expense and ensure we can continue helping dogs like Abby when they need us most.

👨🏻‍⚕️We're happy to share that Abby is currently recuperating in her foster home, where she is receiving lots of love and care as she continues her recovery. She also has her first follow-up appointment today, which means her medical expenses are continuing to grow as we make sure she receives the ongoing treatment and monitoring she needs.

Lilly is a sweet, playful, and affectionate Boston Terrier puppy with a heart as big as her personality. She loves people, enjoys cuddles, and brings joy wherever she goes.

Lilly has a congenital neurological condition that affects her bladder and bowel control, but it doesn't slow her down one bit. She's healthy, active, happy, and thriving. Her condition is manageable with diapers and routine hygiene, and no surgery is needed at this time.

Lilly is looking for a loving forever family willing to give a little extra care in exchange for a lifetime of unconditional love.

🚨 EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER FOR ABBY 🚨

Update: August 11, 2026
Abby was released from the emergency vet late last night. She is back home with her foster family and resting comfortably. 🩷
Her foster family’s quick action saved her life, and we can’t thank Diane and Carl enough for quickly getting her help!

Despite her time spent in intensive care, we still don’t know exactly what caused her acute responses. We have a list of follow-up questions and conditions to explore, but thankfully, a couple nights at the ER spent in the oxygen chamber with extensive imaging and loads of different IV meds and fluids helped her turn the corner. She has a follow up appointment with her regular vet on Friday. Please keep those positive thoughts and prayers coming!

Our sweet foster girl, Abby, is fighting for her life.

Last night, Abby was rushed to the Emergency Veterinary Hospital and admitted on an emergency basis. Since her arrival, she has required intensive, around-the-clock care and has remained in an oxygen chamber because she is struggling to breathe.

Despite extensive intervention, Abby is currently oxygenating at just 91%, while 94% or higher is considered normal. Her medical team is working tirelessly to stabilize her as they search for answers.

Abby is facing a devastating combination of medical challenges, including:

▪️ Difficulty breathing and oxygenating properly
▪️ A severely distended abdomen
▪️ Elevated white blood cell count
▪️ Vomiting/aspiration
▪️ Newly developed bloody, tarry diarrhea that began this morning
▪️ A pre-existing diagnosis of Cushing's Disease, which is further complicating her condition

At this time, Abby is sedated and undergoing additional imaging and procedures in an effort to relieve pressure within her body, believed to be related to significant gas buildup, while veterinarians continue searching for the underlying cause of her worsening condition.

As of this moment, Abby's veterinary bill has already reached $5,703.73, and that is NOT the final total. With intensive monitoring, oxygen therapy, advanced diagnostics, procedures, medications, and 24-hour critical care, expenses are continuing to climb.

As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) rescue, American Boston Terrier Rescue & Rehabilitation never wants finances to determine whether a dog receives lifesaving medical care. Unfortunately, emergency veterinary hospitals rarely offer discounts, even to rescue organizations, leaving us responsible for the full cost of Abby's treatment.

Today, we are asking for your help.

Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward Abby's emergency medical care. If you are unable to donate, please help by sharing Abby's story. A share may reach the person who can help save her life.
