Dear Cat Friends!
🇲🇾We’re in Kuching, the capital of Sarawak, on the Malaysian island of Borneo in Southeast Asia. We’ve arrived in a city known as Cat City.
In Malay, kucing means “cat.”
😺Cats are everywhere here. There are cat statues and sculptures all over the city, and on Jalan Padungan, we found a huge white cat. It stands about 8 feet tall. Humans didn’t just put up a statue of it. They even dress it up for different holidays throughout the year.
We also visited the Cat Museum. Four galleries and thousands of cat-related exhibits: paintings, sculptures, posters, stamps, comics, and memorabilia from around the world.
👉And that’s not all. Kuching even hosts a festival dedicated to cats. The Kuching International Cat Festival is scheduled for October 2026. Apparently, the museum and all those statues still weren’t enough.

We left the local cats some of our Calitti Crystals silica litter. You don’t come to Cat City empty-pawed.

Dear Cat Friends!

🇵🇪We’re in Peru, at Chavín de Huántar, high in the Peruvian Andes.
We’ve arrived at a place people were visiting around 3,000 years ago. Chavín was an important religious center, filled with stone passageways, galleries, and images of extraordinary beings.
😺We took a closer look. Fangs. Claws. Feline features. Large cats held a special place in the world of Chavín and appeared throughout its art and religious imagery.
😺People traveled here for rituals and brought offerings. Archaeologists even discovered a place known as the Gallery of Offerings, where objects connected with ancient ceremonies were found.
We don’t know exactly who all those offerings were meant for.
We have our suspicions.
👉Traveling through the Andes has taught us something else. The higher you go, the less you feel like carrying. That’s why we brought Calitti Crystals, in a lightweight package. A sensible decision.

Dear Cat Friends!
🇬🇧We’re in York. The original York, in northern England. Not New York. We’ve already been there.
👀As we walked through the historic city center, we had the feeling someone was watching us. Cats look down at people from rooftops, walls, and ledges. Stone ones, wooden ones, some very well hidden. You can look for them along the York Cat Trail, a route that winds through the city streets.
How did they get here? One story says cat figures were placed on buildings to keep rats and mice away. Another says they bring good luck. Obviously.
What we like most, though, is where these cats are. High above the streets. Above everyone’s heads.
We all know who rules the world from the top.
🐈After exploring the city, we left the local cats some of our Calitti Crystals. If they’ve been watching over York for generations, someone should make sure they have proper working conditions.

Dear Cat Friends,
🇺🇸We're in Key West, Florida.
Most people come here to visit Ernest Hemingway's home. We came to meet the cats. Around 60 of them live here, and many are descendants of Snow White, the white cat Hemingway received from a ship captain.
🖐We noticed something else right away. Some of the local cats have six toes. Those extra "thumbs" are a natural genetic trait. Sailors once believed these cats had better balance on a moving ship and brought good luck at sea. No wonder a ship captain chose one as a gift for Hemingway.
💫Every cat here has a full name. And not just any name. We met Audrey Hepburn, Pablo Picasso, and Sophia Loren. Apparently, humans decided that only cats are worthy of carrying famous names. We can't argue with that.
😼We wandered through the porches, gardens, and rooms of the old house with our new friends. Tourists kept taking pictures, and we patiently posed for them. After all, it's not every day they get to meet real celebrities.
👉As a gift, we brought our six-toed friends Calitti Crystals litter. They seemed very pleased with it.

Dear Cat Friends!
🇧🇷We’re in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. People come here for the beaches, the mountains, and the samba. We came for the stories.
🐆The locals told us an Indigenous legend from the Amazon rainforest. It says the jaguar was the guardian of the jungle, standing between the human world and the world of spirits. Honestly, that's exactly how we see ourselves. 😽
Then we visited Rio Cat Clube. International cat shows are held here for pedigree cats. Did you know they also host competitions for domestic (non-pedigree) cats? We thought that made perfect sense. Class doesn't always come with a pedigree.
