The daycare dogs have kept me busy this week (which I am always grateful for!) but I’ll be calling it an early night tonight 😴 I’m a little behind on messages and emails, but I’ll be catching up on all of them tomorrow so keep an eye out for a response if you’ve been waiting to hear back! 🫶🏼

Also just a reminder, we will be CLOSED Tuesday 10/27, but the rest of the week next week will be regular hours!

On Monday, Lyla had her last lesson! She has been working on her reactivity to other dogs and some confidence building. We went to the dog park to work outside the fenced in area and she didn’t have a single reaction and greeted some dogs at the fence!

When working with a reactive dog, we want to achieve neutrality in the presence of another dog and she nailed it!

She has been such a wonderful dog to work with, sweet as ever, and so quick to learn everything!

After our lesson, she decided to have a a well deserved nap 🐾😴

November availability update for daycare, boarding, lessons, and pack walks!

🐶 DAYCARE: ACCEPTING NEW DOGS!
We are currently accepting new dogs for daycare! All new dogs must complete an orientation before scheduling daycare. Please make sure you have ALL required vaccination records (rabies, distemper, parvo, lepto, kennel cough) and a negative f***l test (must show negative for Giardia) from within the past 6 months. All records MUST be up to date before your orientation. Missing or expired records will delay your orientation!

🏡 BOARDING: VERY LIMITED AVAILABILITY
We have very limited boarding availability remaining, and the holidays are already booking up! If your dog has never stayed with us before, the same vaccinations, f***l testing, and orientation requirements apply. Please don't wait until the last minute to reach out about boarding! We are a very small facility with limited space, and while we try our best to accommodate everyone, we may not be able to accommodate all last-minute requests, especially around the holidays.

🐕 PRIVATE LESSONS: FULLY BOOKED
Our private lessons are currently fully booked for October and November!

🐾 PACK WALKS: 10/31 and 11/7
We have two upcoming pack walks scheduled for 10/31 and 11/7! Pack walks are only open to our current and past training clients, including those currently enrolled in our group classes. We have created a private Facebook group specifically for our pack walks where we'll share details. If you'd like to join, comment below and we'll send you an invite!

Ollie worked on polite greetings and leash walking during her lesson today, and she did really well!

We focused on teaching her to pay more attention to her handler during walks instead of getting distracted by everything going on around her. We also practiced greeting people politely without getting overly excited or nipping. See the second photo to see how she really felt about having to use her manners 😂

This is Winnie! Winnie worked really hard on her loose leash walking skills today!

One of Winnie’s favorite things to do is walk to the end of her road, lay down, and watch the traffic go by. She loves it so much that there’s a worn-out patch on the ground from where she always lays. 😂

The problem is that when it’s time to head home, Winnie likes to plant herself and refuse to move. So we worked on that today too! We showed her that she can still enjoy her favorite spot and watch the cars go by, but when it’s time to head home, she needs to come along too!

This is Scout and she had her second lesson with us yesterday!

We’re working on building her impulse control and helping her learn to stay calm and make better choices around other dogs. Scout would also like everyone to know that she is a model and a very good girl. 😇
