Buckshot Acres

Buckshot Acres Nigerian Dwarf Goat Breeders and Autism supporters! I'm Kayliegh, a homesteading enthusiast and full-time human/animal mom. Our son Riley has Autism.

My husband Jason and I recently decided to change our lifestyle for the betterment of our health, happiness, and family. We started raising goats to help him learn important life skills. In addition, Riley takes medication daily for his condition. We give it to him in yogurt or milk to make it more palatable, so it made sense for us to raise goats that are small in size but prolific when it comes

to producing milk. This is how I discovered the joy of hard work, raising animals, all-natural organic homegrown meals (that you can actually be proud to feed your family), and tending to your own land. I hope to share this amazing journey with others just like us!

My kids and I are getting our goats ready for upcoming ADGA shows, and the herd is enjoying all the extra attention. Show prep always brings a few added expenses like CVIs, replacing our clippers, and keeping our hay supply steady. These are normal parts of caring for a herd and getting everyone ready for the season.

Our Etsy shop helps support these routine costs. Every product we make is something we put real thought, care, and time into. We take pride in offering high‑quality items that reflect the same level of care we give our goats.

If you’d like to see what we’ve been working on, here’s our shop. Your support truly makes a difference for our small farm.

Every order placed through our Etsy shop directly supports the daily care of our herd. We are not a rescue, but caring for animals the right way comes with real costs. Hay, minerals, bedding, trims, feed, supplements, and routine health care all add up fast.

Your purchases help us keep doing what we love. They help us provide the level of care our goats deserve. They help us continue creating the products you enjoy while maintaining a healthy, happy herd.

If you have a moment, visit our Etsy and see what we have available. Every sale truly makes a difference for our animals and for our small farm.

Hoof trims day!! Thank you Jamie L Butler , you are the bestest!!

I also wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who recently ordered from our Etsy shop. Your support genuinely helps us cover the real costs that come with ethical, proper goat care. Hoof trimming is one of those essential tasks. It keeps the herd healthy, comfortable, and moving correctly, and it has to be done every 3 months.

Yes, it can be done solo, but with a herd our size we hire a farrier so everyone gets done safely and correctly in one day. It is not cheap, and your purchases helped make today possible. I cannot thank you enough for that.

Here are a few photos from hoof trimming day. Some goats cooperated like angels, and others screamed like we were lowering them into the void. Full drama. Zero danger. Maximum theatrics. Every single goat lived to tell the tale.

Thank you again for supporting our little farm and helping us give the herd the care they deserve.

Tractor grease is no joke. My hands were a mess.
One wash with hot water and a bar of my goat milk soap and now they’re clean, soft, and smell good again.
I’m just grateful the soaps I make aren’t just decorative. They actually get the job done.
