🐾 Foster or Adopt Rufus! 🐾
Red & White Siberian Husky | Neutered | Vaccinated | Sweet, Loving Boy
Meet Rufus, a handsome red and white Siberian Husky with a heart as big as his beautiful smile. This young guy is estimated to be around 2-3 years old and is looking for either a foster home or his forever family.
Rufus is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and ready to begin the next chapter of his life. He is a very sweet, affectionate dog who absolutely craves love, attention, and companionship. Once he trusts you, he just wants to be by your side.
Foster Needed
Rufus needs an 8-week foster commitment so he can complete his heartworm treatment:
•2 weeks to finish his medication
•6 weeks of recovery with leash walks only after treatment
A calm foster home would make a huge difference in helping him heal and continue building confidence.
About Rufus

Rufus has come a long way since arriving in rescue. To be completely honest, he was a bit of a disaster when he first came in, but he has made tremendous progress with patience and structure. He still needs some continued training, so he would do best with someone willing to spend a little time helping him keep building good habits.
One thing that breaks our hearts is that Rufus often acts as though he expects to be hit. Because of this, we suspect he may have experienced abuse in the past. He is extremely submissive and responds best to kindness, consistency, and gentle guidance. Despite whatever he has been through, he continues to trust and love people.
Other Dogs
Rufus enjoys other dogs but can be a rough player. He is improving and learning appropriate dog manners but isn't quite there yet. Careful introductions and supervision with canine friends are recommended.

A patient person or family who will see the amazing dog he's becoming and help him continue on that journey. Whether you're willing to foster him through treatment or offer him a permanent home, Rufus deserves someone who will show him what love, safety, and stability feel like.
