Monkey has gained a whopping, solid, 22 pounds since she came back to us in July. She is now 43 pounds of solid muscle (Mostly in her head. 😆).
She is ready to rock and roll and find a new home. She is also available for foster.
She is much younger than we originally thought. When we found her last year we thought she may have been between 1-2. There is no way. She was still a puppy! We have come to learn she is not even two YET! She might be closely creeping up on two now and is still very much a puppy.
This munchkin is a full load of play. She wants to run and jump and skip. Yes, skip! She is also a hugger. What’s with our babies being huggers? She will wrap her little legs around your neck and hold tight.
She plays very well with other dogs, even annoying the playground husky around here. She can’t keep up with Monkey. 😆 she loves kiddos and wants to get to them as close as possible. She loves all people and has never met a stranger. She started to chase cats while in a previous home setting. We are trying to break her from that behavior. We still say no cats. 🚫🐈
She does very well in her kennel. She has learned to eat in there and will only accept food after she drags you to her kennel and waits so patiently. She is highly motivated by food and treats and listens very well when cued. She is super smart and can be taught pretty much anything if you have a treat.
We are hoping to get a DNA test on her. Someone offered to sponsor one at some point, so we are asking if someone wants to sponsor at this point for her. It’s a DNA and Health test. It’s $135.
She is learning not to pull on her leash. She gets so excited that she forgets there’s an idiot on the other end. We are working on that as well. The pulling, not the idiot part. That will always be the case. 😆
This munchkin is the perfect pocket pitty for a loving family that wants a solo dog to spoil or a playmate for their existing pack. She will stay loyal for life!
