Meet the founder of Limestone Equine - Dr. Julie Vargas

Graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, she followed her heart (and a lot of horses) to Kentucky, where she interned at Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital, one of the world's largest equine hospitals. Sleepless nights recovering colics and dystocias turned into a second year of ambulatory practice and resident vet work for Stonestreet Farm.
Few careers are linear and the fork in the road came with the decision to join Dr. Haynes Stevens in Wellington Florida and focus on high level sport horse medicine.
She went on to earn certification in equine acupuncture and veterinary medical manipulation through the Chi Institute in Reddick Florida. The past 6.5 years have been well spent exploring the wonderful world of rehabilitation medicine and young horse development at Spy Coast Farm.

Grounded in experience. Driven by grit. Always for the horse.
