We got our first Sheltie Nishka, a sable female in 1974. We had both always wanted a Sheltie when we were kids. Over the last 50 years we haven't had a time without a Sheltie or a few. We had the pleasure of having a litter here and there but working full time on a farm doesn't leave much time for things like that. In 2021 we retired and moved to Lewiston to be closer to our kids and grand kids. We moved with our Shelties Max and Maddie. Adjusting to city life was a little different these for two. We went from snow and dirty dog life to pampered city dogs who go to the groomer. They both grew to love this and spending more time with us and the grand kids. We lost Max in December 2022 to cancer. Maddie is still healthy and doing great. She is now the babysitter to the young Shelties. Here are a couple pictures of a few dogs we have had over the years. First is Nishka our first girl.
