We’re getting everything prepped and packed for our upcoming Pet Pantry Day this Sunday from 12PM–3PM 🐶🐱

Come hang out, help us bag food, sort supplies, chat rescue, and make a direct impact for local pets and families in need. Every bag packed helps keep another pet fed and in their home. 🩷

No experience needed — just extra hands, good vibes, and clothes you don’t mind getting a little furry 😅🐾

💎🐾 Breakfast at Sniffany’s was such a lovely reminder of how special the SOMD pet community truly is. 🐾💎

Some of our amazing volunteer groomers who donate their time during our Shave Down Sunday events had the pleasure of attending alongside local rescues, small businesses, and fellow animal lovers today — and it was so nice getting to simply enjoy being part of such a supportive community. ❤️

We loved seeing familiar faces, meeting new ones, and spending time surrounded by people who all share the same passion: helping pets and the people who love them.

Thank you to everyone who made today so wonderful. Events like these remind us how lucky we are to be part of this community. 🐶✨

Just packed up another round of pantry deliveries this evening 🖤

Our Leonardtown pantry storage is definitely needing some love and our Lexington Park pantry isn’t too far behind on the scarcity either.

With more delivery requests continuing to come in and our Community Pet Pantry Day coming up on the 24th, any dog/cat food and supplies are greatly appreciated 🐾

Wet food, dry food, treats, litter, puppy pads, cleaning supplies, opened bags — it all helps more than you know.

Yes — we still drop supplies at local community pantries when volunteers are able! But if you need assistance, the BEST way to get help is to contact us directly.

Pantry supplies can go quickly, and reaching out allows us to better connect you with available food, resources, and support for your pets. 🐾

When a call for help for local cats and pets in need turns into this… 🐾📦

…and suddenly I’m getting FaceTimed like “what did you order now??” 😂

I swear it’s not for me — it’s just our community showing up BIG for pets in need ❤️

Boxes coming in, supplies stacking up, and every bit of it going right back out to keep pets fed, comfortable, and at home 🏡

Shave Down Sunday Recap 🐾

Today was our very first Shave Down Sunday… and it was something really special.

A HUGE thank you to the groomers who showed up and donated their time, skills, and hearts today:

* Andy from Chesapeake Pet Resort
* Jillian from Balanced Paws Pet Care

These are the people you can trust your pets with every day — and today, they chose to give back to the community.

In just 3 hours, we were able to help 10 pets get groomed and comfortable heading into the warmer months.
For our first event… that’s incredible.

This day was about more than grooming.
It was about giving local families a little relief — knowing their pets are clean, comfortable, and cared for.

We also had a few families stop by for pet food, making sure their pets at home are taken care of too.

A huge thank you to Well Pet Clinic for opening your doors and allowing us to host this event. We truly couldn’t have done this without you.

And to everyone who donates food — this is exactly what your support does:
🐾 keeps pets comfortable
🐾 keeps them fed
🐾 keeps them happy
🐾 and most importantly… keeps them home
