🚨 URGENT PANTRY NEEDS 🚨

Our shelves are getting a little lighter than we’d like, and we’re seeing an increased need for assistance throughout St. Mary’s County.

Right now, our biggest needs are:
🐱 Cat Litter
🐱 Small Bags of Cat Food
🐶 Puppy Food

Every donation, no matter the size, helps keep pets fed, healthy, and where they belong — at home with the families who love them. 💜

Help For Pets will have free dog and cat food available at St. Paul's Episcopal Church food pantry in Baden on Friday, June 12 from 9:00 am until 10:00 am. It will be drive thru only- please stay in your car. 13500 Baden Westwood Road.

💜 What a day! 💜

Today’s Pet Pantry Day was one for the books.

We helped pets, filled bellies, shared resources, welcomed new faces, and spent the evening doing what Fido & Friends is all about—neighbors helping neighbors.

To our volunteers: thank you. Whether you helped bag supplies, talk with families, set up, clean up, or just jumped in wherever needed, you made today happen.

One of my favorite parts wasn’t just helping the pets—it was watching people connect, laugh, share stories, and realize they’re part of something bigger than themselves.

Fido & Friends may still be growing, but today felt pretty special. 💜

Thank you for believing in this little community program and for helping us make a difference, one pet and one family at a time. 🐾

Tomorrow is Pet Pantry Day! 🐾💜

A reminder that our next Fido & Friends Community Pet Pantry is tomorrow from 5 PM–7 PM!

We’ll be set up with pet food, supplies, resources, and friendly faces ready to help local pets and their families. As always, our goal is simple: keeping pets in their homes and supporting our community when times get tough.

Donations are always appreciated, especially:

🐾💜 Special Delivery to SMAWL’s Cat Castle! 💜🐾

Did you know we collect empty toilet paper and paper towel rolls year-round?

Thanks to our amazing friends at Piney Point Elementary, local students turn these everyday recyclables into fun enrichment toys for cats in need! The toys are handmade, bagged, and then delivered to local rescues, shelters, and community cats throughout our area.

Today, we dropped off a fresh batch to the cats at St. Mary’s Animal Welfare League Cat Castle, and it looks like they already approve! 😻

It’s a simple project that keeps materials out of the landfill, gives students a chance to give back, and brings a little extra fun to cats waiting for their forever homes.

Thank you to our young volunteers for helping us make a difference…one toy at a time! 🐾

🐾 Our little community is amazing! 🐾

Today, volunteers helped organize our pantry setup, making future pantry days easier for everyone. Flyers are being spread throughout the county, and donations continue to come in as we prepare for our next Pet Pantry Day next Wednesday!

For families caring for multiple cats, deals like these can make a huge difference. If you’re able to grab an extra bag while you’re out shopping, donations are always appreciated and help us keep supporting local pets and their families in need. 🐾

A little goes a long way when there are lots of hungry mouths to feed. 🥹
