Wilmington Animal Centrix Mission Statement: Ending pet homelessness one spay and neuter at a time.

We are a 501c3, community outreach that works to support and create bridges between local animal rescues and community members who are trying to help animals in need. Our long-term goal is to reduce pet homelessness in New Hanover county, and surrounding communities. We will accomplish this goal by, working with individuals in our community, as well as other community non-profits to help keep pets

in their current home. We will primarily focus our efforts on companion animals, but will spread awareness of issues impacting wildlife.

Kindness belongs in our backyards, too. 💚🐾

Seeing a coyote in your neighborhood can feel unsettling, but these animals are simply trying to survive. They deserve space, respect, and compassion.

We can care about wildlife while taking sensible steps to protect our pets:

🐾 Keep cats indoors and supervise dogs outside—even in fenced yards.
🐾 Never feed coyotes or leave pet food outdoors.
🐾 Secure trash and remove easy food sources.
🐾 Observe from a distance and never approach.

Respecting wildlife means helping them stay wild. Let’s share our neighborhoods thoughtfully and encourage others to do the same. 💚
