The Myles Crew is in the barn until it warms up a little bit.

I didn't put down their morning groats snack when they got up. I wanted to clean their sleeping crates and give Myles and DeeDee their morning supplements first.

They were all discombobulated without the routine of their morning groats.

I put some down and now all is ok with the Myles Crew.

Chickens thrive on a routine.

They crave it.

Something as simple as not having groats to peck at, when they get up, is enough to upset their chicken world.

I totally relate.

I get discombobulated when my routine is messed up too.

It's been 3.5 weeks since Mercedes arrived.

I'm so grateful Myles, Lucy and DeeDee accepted Mercedes into their flock and they clicked.

She is loving being a part of the gang.

She is the happiest little chicken. ❤️

I don't know what I was worried about.

DeeDee and Mercedes were just fine with having to be in the barn this morning.

They were a couple of barn pros. 😊

Yesterday it was 88°F. Today it was in the low 50's.
We had a 30° drop overnight. 😳

Tonight we're going to be in the 30's.

It will be too cold for little Myles to go outside in the morning.

The Myles Crew will have to spend their morning in the barn, until it warms up enough for them to go outside.

DeeDee and Mercedes haven't spent time in the barn yet, except for when they're sleeping.

Hopefully they'll be ok with it.

The barn heater is on tonight, along with The Mason's and The Luka's coop heaters.

The weather is just crazy to me.

Last night when I tucked everyone in I was worried about them being too hot.

Tonight they have their heaters on.

Good morning! I hope your day is as awesome as my hairdo!~ Mercedes
